Finding Dad's one and only copy of Playboy magazine.

Bottom drawer tool chest under the shop rags.

For the articles no doubt.

My 13yo self liked it for the pictures.

My kid’s school still doesn’t post the grades online. My son handed me his envelope with semester grades yesterday and was really nervous. He did good but I don’t know why he was nervous, he’s dad is a dumb arse, not his fault

Having to sneak a nudie magazine.

Back before recycling we found a handful of really nasty magazines in the dumpster behind a magazine distributor. They were dirty by today's standards. Much less back then.

I guess I was about 9 or 10. Being the bold one in the crowd. I volunteered to hide them at my house.

Bad move. Real bad move.

I was lying on my bed reading a Mad magazine. My Dad walked into the room with that stack of dirty books.

He dropped them on the bed with the words, "I found some of your literature".

What happened next was probably the worst arse whipping he ever gave me. He wore my arse out. I never hid another dirty book in the house.

Or phone numbers that started with "Whitehall, Jackson and Twinbrook" followed by a series of numbers.

You gotta be old to remember these.

Nowadays with grades posted immediately online...

It's fricking ridiculous.

Parents have become monsters. frick that noise.

We homeschool and my wife is a teacher so she took someones half a year to help out.

Parents want shite instantaneously and all night updates. She won't do it. Said she's there to teach not sit on the computer and upgrade scores immediately and answer emails all night.

Parents are revolting. I told her they'll give up in a few weeks. Have to train them. They have become spoiled. Reviews and grades are sent home in a timely manner. Open the fricking binder and track the shite yourself.

fricking technology is ruining education at the lower levels. fricking iPads and smartboards and projectors. I get it I used to believe it. Until we started teaching at home with a solid curriculum and the basics.

We waste so much time and money on shite that convinces you you'll save both time and money.

They lie
