I guess I should have clarified more. I mean the ones that always tow the middle no matter the issue. We all know someone like that and I can't value their opinion much as they usually can't think for themselves.
I gotcha, that makes a little more sense. But if they are truly in the middle on every issue, are they even sharing opinions?

Personally, there are many issues that I am undecided on, and I'm not one who HAS to take a stance on everything. I find that people who do that tend to never waver for fear of seeming weak or wrong.

So it doesn't matter if you're arguing with someone on the other side, or circle-jerking with someone you agree with, nobody is changing their mind and nothing will be accomplished. It's more productive to talk to people who don't currently lean too far to either side.

I think you and SFP are a lot alike in that people are not sure how to address either of you because you both can be articulate in your discussions. No one likes to be challenged too much but each of you like the challenge that some topics present.

boosiebadazz has tried to do the same but falls short and lets his biased show too much.

Now we have angiehank trying to do the same but he has already proven too many times he is a partisan hack for people to fall for it.

At least you aren't a pseudo-intellectual like that Ohio fan with the Sinatra avatar that thinks posting a emoji is winning the argument when it's clear he has been outwitted yet again.

That's not someone who rides the fence; it's someone who is easily influenced.

You have people who simply don't care enough to take a position, as well as those who are easily influenced. But I don't see how Powerman fits either of those descriptions

I like a good debate from time to time even if we disagree and neither one of us will change our mind in the end. I have a few liberal friends like this in Cali and we still appreciate and respect each other. The people in the middle I speak of seem to lack any conviction about anything. Hard for me to really respect that.

Agreed

Sometimes I think it's ok to just say "I'm not sure" about something. If you asked me some detailed questions about quantum entanglement and asked me to take a side it probably wouldn't be a very fruitful endeavor for me to really say much because I know frick all about the issue.

Correct. You can't learn much from someone who has too rigid of an opinion on an issue that is nuanced.

I honestly have no fricking clue what your political positions are but I'd be generally curious to see what you have to say about political topics.
I usually stay away from the poliboard. When I do come here it's usually just to stir up shite because the posters here are easily flustered.

I actually lean right on a lot of issues, but I mostly share my left leaning ideas here because it's more fun. So of course I'm prog filth.

That would be my reply too if I were butt hurt the dems were only pulling in a few dozen and Trump was pulling in a few thousand.

Exactly

I share some of my right leaning thoughts here as well but it's certainly not as entertaining

Oh, I guess I have to agree that Antifa is antifacist because they said they were.

Gotcha.

Yeah that can be fun, I do it sometimes. That's how I know it's not productive.

Antifa is incorrect when they call themselves antifacists.

You are incorrect when you say your "loser" title applies to everyone attending/viewing a political rally.

Trump broke you with his dozens and dozens of huge crowds.

Childish waster of everyone’s time

If you took the time to revisit the thread and I certainly don't expect you to I acknowledged that this cult like behavior started with Obama

No. He didn't break anything you imbecile. I don't personally have much of a problem with Trump at the moment. I can compartmentalize my view of how he is handling his job and also acknowledge that people attending rallies and watching them on TV are morons.

Won't really argue with you there but the whole idea of an internet forum is pretty much a time waster

Oh I certainly don't. I'd wager I'm smarter than the majority here but certainly not above the rest.

This entire board is a waste of time. Don't act like my tiny contribution is worse than the rest of it.

I would never say that I'm smarter than everyone else. But I will say that a lot of dumb shite gets posted here.

IF - IF - IF this were anything close to normal times, I would agree with you.

I would never go to a political rally - even now - unless if was terribly convenient.

BUT - I am buoyed by the fact that so many good Americans DO sacrifice their time and conveneience to stand up AGAINST the political evil which is being rammed down out throats.

These rallies are a show of determination - like I have never seen before in my long life. I love that ordinary Americans are making a physical statement of "I am tired of this shite."

DEMS demonstrate their hatred by organized 'protests' - burning down neighborhoods - harassing innocent bystanders - feeding lies and hatred thru a compliant news media - making political attacks at obtuse awards ceremonies.

The normal people gather together peacefully - sometimes having to suffer thru harassment as complicit local government allows their rights to assemble be mocked and demeaned - to show their dedication to the ONE political movement that is truly in the spirit of what America is supposed to be. in OPPOSITION to the evil forces trying to destroy America as it has existed to be a beacon of freedom and liberty.

I rejoice that that spark of patriotism and support of honest government still exists in spite of the 4 decades of debilitating attacks we have suffered from the DEMOCRAT party in seditious conspiracy with the socialist movement centered in our university system and entertainment industry and news propaganda.

VIVA USA SUPPORT RALLIES !!!!

I just don’t see why one should care so much and have such a strong opinion about such a trivial item.

I can't remember the last time I went to one. But I understand why people do.
