LSU gets the first official visit after the dead period ends the weekend of Jan. 17. He’s a one-time Tigers commit with Ed Orgeron and company working hard to get him back in the fold.
“I’m ready to get back to Baton Rouge, I haven’t seen the new facility yet,” Jackson said before talking about what stands out. “Just the winning right now and how Coach O changed the program. And just my fit in the system.”
**** someone posted that he was roommates w Jacobian Guillory at the All-American game last week. They worked well together according to 247 analysts LINK /
After checking in at 6-1 3/8 and 334 pounds, Guillory showed that despite being a big-bodied tackle, he has some explosion to him. The LSU signee flashed a quick first step and a big push to get into the backfield and he and Jackson combined together inside to cause problems for the West centers and guards.

A NC Monday and a Jackson commit that weekend would be really sweet

there’s nothing in stone obviously, but the gut feeling from some insiders is that he picks LSU. The hometown “pull” at the last minute is strong in Mississippi though. And by pull I mean boosters paying whatever it takes to keep him at MSU or OM.

Great news, McKinnley Jackson is a kid we need badly on the interior of our D-Line.
He offers something a little different than our other interior D lineman. Because of his unusual quickness for someone that size, he is going to be very difficulr to block.
The more good D lineman we can rotate in, the better our line will perform, and still be able to maintain a good pass rush late in games.
Finish up with Jackson for 2020 on the D line, and get to work on signing Maason Smith and Korey Foreman for 2021. Both those dudes are must gets.

Jackson, Roy, Guillory, Taylor, Gaye, Ojulari, Webb, Sampah, and White. That kind of front 7 haul is what championships are made of.

I have no real reason to, but I'm worried Kiffin and Co. come in at the last hour and do something to get him to Oxford.

Hasn’t seen the new facility yet? Maybe coming off a natty? Uh oh...

Well this is perfect timing because although Mississippi recruits are tricky and tough to pull, both MSU and Ole Miss are in a state of transition and have not won much lately.

I trust Ed and I love our staff. I think they could definitely pull this off.
But pulling kids from Mississippi is hard hard.

i'd be surprised if LSU got this kid out of Mississippi. Seems like a home school or Bama always wins this kind of battle.

He told Guillory, Ricks, and McGlothern that he was coming to LSU to play with them. We'll see if he sticks to his guns.

It would be GREAT to get another blue-chip DT in the fold, but it is hard to be confident that will happen for two reasons. (1) Maybe more than any other state, LSU seems to never be able to pull the top players out of MS...despite reports that they all "love" LSU. (2) Kiffin will surely make him a #1 priority.
Clearly the kid like LSU at one point. However, he could have signed with LSU in the early period and chose not to (I doubt O would have turned him away).
I hope I'm completely wrong, but I take a wait and see approach with Mississippi players.
