That is just shocking to me. They have beat 6 top 10 teams in 10 years !

Then clemson talked about how physical osu was ...lol . Looked like an average sec game really.

They are not ready

We all get that, and it's telling, but if I'm counting right they only played 1 top ten team before they destroyed Bama last year.

Just because they haven't played many good teams doesn't make them a bad team, just an unproven one.

No but it does make them likely to be physically more fresh since they haven’t taken the beating.

However when we start laying hard hits on them we will find out if they have a glass jaw or not.

true, Clemson plays a weak schedule because the ACC has been weaker than normal the last couple years.

But don't let that affect the fact that Clemson is an elite team. They destroyed Bama last year and beat Ohio State last week.

Clemson is fantastic. Don't let their scheduling lead you to think otherwise.

Yahoo article says Dabo is 20-6 v top 10 teams in his tenure as HC. So OPs numbers seem way off.

They got a huge assist from the zebras in that game. OSU had more 1st downs, more yards rushing, more yards passing, the refs cost them the game. Not anything Clemson did.

Must be nice to be able to just beat bama and win a title.

This is how you win the natty, open up number 1, and fall to number 3 even when you’re undefeated for 29 games. Would someone explain this to DAt BiOtch please?

The Butteyes were the better team, they just failed to put them away. The 2019 version of Clemson doesn’t have the defensive studs they had in 2018.

Clemson is not better on D than GA but they are much better on offense.

True enough and a reason to stay mentally focussed.

Also true but I think the "shock factor", if there was one, came against Ohio State.

And don't get me wrong, I think LSU wins by 2 or more scores but I don't think Clemson will fold. But I sure hope we can make em quit.

Pretty sure they've played 8 in the last 5 years just in bowl games.

I don't get the need for LSU (or vice versa for Clemson) fans to dogg Clemson. There is no need to diminish what Clemson has done and what they are. This is not a ranking debate. THEY WILL PLAY THE GAME. Clemson is awesome. LSU is awesomer.

This. It was a physical came, sure. But the notion that it was somehow notably so to them is quite telling and a bit funny.

This is the point that is missed nationwide.

In those 29 games of playing physically WEAKER lesser ranked teams, Clemson had a significant advantage keeping their 1st string healthy.

It seems every ranked matchup in the SEC, BOTH teams lose players to injury. It takes a toll.

Could be the difference between rankings at end of year vs at time of play.

True. But the fact remains that good teams fall in rankings after key players are injured in tougher battles throughout the season.

It seems you never hear of Clemson losing multiple players to injury after games. Their routine battles aren’t as exhausting. But they sure had several players getting banged up & leaving the game for plays against OSU. Maybe it’s all just coincidence, I don’t know.
