Anyone On The Board Ever Thought About Doing A Podcast?

Anyone ever thought about starting a podcast? What equipment do you need so it at least doesn't sound like complete shite?

Podcasts for dudes are like blogs for moms
The difference is that for mommy blogs her dumb friends will tell her how awesome the blog is while talking crap about it behind her back. So she'll have affirmation and keep doing it until she gets bored.
For guys, even your friends will avoid listening to your podcast, and you'll just end up embarrassed and wondering why you thought you had anything important enough to talk about in the first place.
Good luck!

I honestly believe that you should start with a good microphone. They have cheap starter mics such as the Samson Q2U, or the Rode Procaster. I use Rode products for film-making and I love their products.
Bad sound quality has completely taken me our of a podcast. Also look into a sound mixer and editing software.

About to start one next month. Will start as a guest spot on a sports podcast, but will spin off into my own show with a cohost on gaming (video games, dice games, board games, tcg’s). The focus will be on wacky stories of games, how they shaped childhood and adolescence, and friends made as a result.
