We have the assets to make a respectable offer if we wanted him. Would you pull the trigger if your Griff/Langdon?

I'll give him one thing he doesn't complain about playing center like some ppl cough cough. But yeah him and Zion would be a pretty good duo

No because the demand would be too high.

But for conversation sake, what would a realistic offer that is at least fair for both teams look like?

I'd say jrue has to be in any deal for him

Would hate to lose Jrue, but I'd absolutely be ok with him in a deal for KAT.

But I fear we'd also have to add one or both of NAW and Jaxson Hayes along with draft picks, or something along those lines. Feels like what KAT is worth is just more than I'd want to give up.

KAT is in the first year of a 5 year contract so I’d assume it’ll cost us a lot more than just Jrue

Yeah, Jrue would just be the beginning. I am sure multiple 1st rounders and other players would be needed. Hayes would likely have to be part of the deal as well. Price would be very high.

I was actually thinking the same thing about naw and especially Jax and I mean draft picks I'm not even worried about

Honestly I wouldn’t go for it, but at the same time KAT would compliment Zion perfectlyz and a Trio of Zion/Ingram/KAT could be special

Really depends on what they are looking for in return.

Clear salary and rebuild:
Hayes
NAW
Moore
Miller
2-3 1st rounders

Still try to compete:
Favors
Ball
3-4 1st rounders

That would be around the minimum value needed IMO

It's at least 1-2 years early for KAT to have the leverage to force a trade, but it is certainly something for the Pels to keep an eye on. The Pels are the new Celtics in that our war chest can beat the market in most cases if there's a player we want. Those are the deals they should be holding out on. Don't waste any assets on marginal moves unless you win the trade or get more future assets back in return.

Am I the only one that just doesn't think that much of KAT?

Very good offensive big man that fits any team. He can do it all. Shoot. Post. Pass.

He is absolutely garbage defensively which makes me say pass. He's the 5 version of Kevin love

Whether you like KAT or not, do you want max money tied up in a center at all is a valid question. The hope is that Zion can become a perimeter player and creator like Giannis, in that case your stretch 5 is largely a role player on offense. Honestly with Zion and BI, the other 3 starters are role players to a certain extent. Do you even want another Max level player or would you be better off spreading that salary to have very good role players around those 2?

As a #1 guy? Agreed

As a 2nd or 3rd option, he'd be a fantastic addition.

That where I am with him. He’s a great offensive player, really great, but he can’t be on the court defensively at the end of games b/c he cannot defend the perimeter.

I also have high hopes for Jaxson. He develops a solid jumper, learns how to be a defensive force, and I’ll take his game over Kats in today’s NBA.

If you have any real chance of getting KAT, you don’t pass on that opportunity.
