To my right I have a 17” wide 6pt chasing a group of does. He just keeps bumping them out of patches of y’all grass. To my left I have a small for being harassed by a spike and 4pt.

Great morning so far.

Seen two small bucks this morning so far. Prettiest morning I've had this year.

Was in the stand from 6-7:30. Fog never cleared up and could only see 70 yards so I went back to camp.

South Richland Parish. Cool, foggy and pretty. Had to leave at 8, expecting them to walk later in the day.

Seen a spike and young 6 that came right underneath me.

2 culls and 4 shooter on the hit list. I am hoping this front kicks them in to high gear.

Elevated box stand overlooking several green fields
Only thing I saw yesterday was 5 does, 2 yearlings and a buck with a nice rack that I couldn’t get a good look at as they all crossed the road in a hurry about 250-300 yards away. No chance for a shot. And that parade was at 9:55, so I’m staying out until lunch hoping this great weather gets them out. Should be rut time as well.

I brought a thermos of coffee this morning but wishing I had some beef jerky.

Seen 11 so far. Just had a doe lope across the field. Was sure a buck was behind her but she must have lost him before getting to me

Otherwise it’s been a fantastic morning

I dropped my phone on the floor of box stand earlier and I’m pretty sure it was louder than a gunshot.

Back at it in Woodville.
Wind a little stronger than I’d like, but otherwise beautiful afternoon.

Had to scare off two does feeding on the walk in, so they are up and moving
