They're usually worse in terms of unpredictability.

But NOT because they are a mixed breed, but instead because the "caliber" of pit that mixed in with the other gene pools was highly likely to have come from inbred genetics- think, "puppy mills". Think, "trashy people having their un-neutered $150 puppy mill pitbull roam the countryside fighting and fricking and killing after it broke off of its chain" type of gene pool in these mixed breeds. Of course, a full-blooded inbred pit is worse than the former, usually.

Inbreeding in any breed is almost always responsible for eventually enhancing many/most of the most undesirable traits of said breed, and in all actuality, universally undesirable traits and health conditions across the board for all breeds. Said breeders were/are irresponsible in taking undesirable dogs out of the breeding gene pool because they have 1 singular motivation, that is, money: "So what if my bitch is an inherently unstable, bad-tempered time bomb, she throws big litters and that's what counts."

Pit bulls have a terribly inbred gene pool as it is.

Problem is, regarding pit bulls, since they were bred for (and from breeds) that were made to hunt, catch, hang on to, and kill what is alive (and for the APBT, its sole purpose for being bred was to kill unrelentingly, and later on in its breeding, mostly to kill each other), then the universally-undesirable trait of unpredictability has dire consequences.

Overall, there is no dog more dangerous than an aging, backyard bred, puppy mill bred pit bull- especially females, and a mixed breed with lots of that type of pit mixed in is no exception.

And what's unnerving is that these ticking genetic time bombs and their often unqualified owners are quite literally everywhere. Not bumping into one in an uncontrolled situation is a matter fate.

Sheer fate.

Wrong. They were bred to protect children and farm animals from wolves and other dangerous predators. This isn't even close to a true statement.
