Do you think Miami, USC, or Texas will resume back to national prominence anytime soon?

Texas is the only one with a near term future

Texas has best chance
USC and Miami admin arent particularly motivated and facilities cant compete with the current big boys

I used to think Miami would bounce back, but the administration doesn’t care, they have no fan support, and their “U” swagger is disappearing and wouldn’t be tolerated today. I think they could be down for awhile.
The other two will eventually come around with the right hires, Texas still has a chance with Herman.

Miami will never be back. USCw seems like they are going the same way with no support from the administration

Miami and USC would probably vote to disband their football program if they could

What? Have you been watching kids these days with swagger and social media?

The college football paradigm has shifted to the SEC/Clemson with occasionally Ohio State rising to their level.
The Big 12 was crippled when Missouri and A&M left.
The PAC 12 was crippled when Pete Carroll, Harbaugh, and Chip Kelly left in a 4 year span.

Texas is the closest. Southern Cal needs a new coach and they’d be two seasons away. Miami has university issues to deal with before they can get back to being a consistent top 10 program.

Miami was great when they were the only CFB team to embrace and actively promote urban black culture, which made them attractive to a large percentage of top recruits. It’s not just them doing that anymore, though, so they don’t really have anything to sell that makes them unique other than the fact that they’re in Miami. I don’t see them ever becoming what they were again.
USC and Texas are both giants just waiting to get back up, if they ever manage to get out of their own way. Texas at least makes some fumbling attempts to be relevant. USC seems stuck in the “football = toxic masculinity” mindset. Not sure when or if they will ever get out of it.

Herman has recruited well.
He had two top 5 classes back to back. They will be Soph & jrs next year.
Usc is a coach away from exploding back on to the scene in that weak conference

I watched USC the other night, they are a LOONNNNGGGG way away. And Miami got beat by Tech.

Miami and USC are dead programs. Texas could be good again but there is way too much booster and good ole boy interference. No coach wants to deal with that.

There is absolutely nothing attractive about going to Miami to play football except for the climate. They will never be back.
I will never understand the modern day fascination with Miami.

Miami - absolutely not.
USC - I used to think so, but with how their Admin is carefree about FB, It looks very bleak.
Texas - I think so.

Texas is already “back”. Last year was the best year they’ve had in a decade and is in line with what should be considered a great year at Texas. Herman has won 7 or more all three years he’s been there. That’s not bad for Texas. They shouldn’t have fired Mack Brown if they wanted Mack Brown results. USC is in big trouble. Miami could get back but they just feel like they’re trending in a bad direction and have been for awhile.

2 completely mediocre programs, especially Missou. Losing Nebraska and CU was worse.
