This kids entire recruitement was a shitshow. Ohio State backed away from him a long time ago. Be happy he chose elsewhere because you're seeing the drama queen that he is.

You guys are acting like a bunch of dudes whose girlfriend dumped you for someone else. Just be happy for the kid and move on with your life.

No ones mad here. The only people that got upset were the 10 year olds but what’s new? Even those guys have gotten over it. I think this guy made a huge mistake. To catch feelings about what a school decides to do with its class shows the ignorance. What if Maryland’s coaches leave? I guess that’s screwing him personally also.

This dude is a head case and shows you exactly the type of commitment he was. Play these games and you’ll get beat. A college will never be hurt by a player or two. If I’m Ed O I’d go right back to that area to recruit more guys next year.

Nah I think he's just tired of all these dumbass LSU fans who keep flooding his social media with F-U, FAIL, and just disrespectful type of stuff. I can't understand why these fools can't move on from that. Dude is gone, staying home to go to school, and trying to build a brand off himself. Some true American type shite. The only thing he did wrong was lie to the LSU coaching staff, but then again we lied to other kids and pushed them out, so it's all moot.

We shouldn't be talking shite because we've done the same to others and he shouldn't be talking shite because he did the same thing to us. Everybody needs to just let this go, what's done is done.

Except hes now saying it was because of Clowney. Pay attention. No need for him to go to twitter and talk ignorant shite and not expect it to come back at.

I’ll anxiously await the 247 main page story on a bitter Bama flip next. I’m sure Tim has published several by now, right?

Do not care
Coach O handled it as best he could. If you want this team competing for national championships and you have players higher on the team board asking to get in, hard decisions have to be made. If you are honest, upfront and try to help the players then you are gonna be good. and Others are just looking for an excuse

Man he showed us. Nobody will care for the next four years.

Reminds me when I was in Navy boot camp several decades ago. An eighteen year old recruit was almost crying he was so home sick. I asked him why he had joined up if he was so miserable. He answered, I had an argument mom. I said, you showed her didn't you.

We’ve had other prima donnas at LSU (OBJ, for example) and done quite well with them.

I don't see anything about Rakim that makes me think he is a prima donna. I just see a kid that wanted to go to his home state school and had a hard time figuring out how to tell the team he was committed to that he had changed his mind and flipped. As far as some fans saying it was a mistake that will hurt his draft status, that is an argument that has been debunked over and over again every single draft for about the last 50 or so years. Also there is something to be said about the character it takes not to go the easy route to a school that has a winning program and instead go to a home state school that has been down for years and do your part in trying to turn the program around

Do you even know how we got Kwon Alexander? Do you? Kwon was committed to Bama for 2 yrs. Hurt his knee his senior year and Bama pulls the scholarship and tells him he’s a grey shirt. LSU steps in and gives him a scholarship. So seriously....if you don’t have anything valuable to add...stay off the thread. Every 90 seconds, Ogeron forgets more about recruiting then you will ever know! You want LSU to honor all the early commits...go find Jerry D and bring him back to LSU and we can go 7-5 and satisfy wanna be fans like yourself!

Man, this dude is a douchebag. Wtf is he talking shite for? He made his decision. He shouldn't be worried about lsu lol. He will realize how big of a decision he just made and how it could hinder his future. One thing I do know...Maryland isn't LSU. Maryland will not maximize his potential like LSU would. He needs to figure out how Maryland is going to even get bowl eligible while he's there lol.

Rakim reminds me of a guy who was mad at his girlfriend and set his own genitals on fire to show her. How's that working out for ya? I guess you showed her. Best of luck not getting thrown to at Mary land.

He’s not worried about bowl games or winning.

He’s focused on branding his name and making money from it.

if he gave a shite about team success he sure as hell wouldn’t have gone to Maryland

Well he’s right!! Many fans was didn’t seem to disappointed when recruits were “processed “! So now those same fans are mad Bc the recruit “processed” LSU. If u accept a commitment from a recruit, u should honor it. They “processed” these recruits hoping to land a bigger fish and lost out on all.

You’re right. I should correct what I said. He acted like a spineless bitch. I’m sure he was just scared to be forthcoming bc he’s incredibly immature.

I reckon we would quit talking about him if he would quit calling LSU out on social media.

As I said, if he’s so happy with his choice, he needs to be all about his new school and stop throwing shade.
