We are taking about unarmed body builder with no backup, no air support, no ship bombardment support.
Even an enraged tame chimp is something that would scare the shite out of any unarmed person. I’d gladly storm the beach at Normandy instead of facing a wild chimp unarmed. At least I’d have a chance at Normandy. You have no idea how agile these things are.

I'm not sure how humans end the fight. Chimps are pretty built to take blows, so punching it out is hard. To grab it, you're probably getting bitten with sharp teeth.
The human would need to keep the chimp at a distance with punches/kicks to subdue it for its best chance, which doesn't seem likely.
They'd need to be closer, which plays into the advantage of Team Chimp.

Also, is this going to be in a flat four wall room where everyone enters into a door and no one leaves until it's done... Or in the wild? Because if given trees and vines, the humans absolutely have zero shot. Even in an enclosed room it would be hard.

This fight needs to take place in an arena with a concrete floor and 15' high walled 1/2" plexiglass smooth radius circular enclosure 36 feet in diameter.

yall are stupid. these animals swing around in trees all day. Their arms and shoulders are huge for their size. thats why when it climbs on your back. you are done.

IDGAF about supposed relatively strength. What I do know is that they'll be ridiculously more agile. They can inflict horrible bite wounds. Would be nearly impossible to just manhandle without getting the frick bit out of you.
Average weight comfortably over 100lbs. Wolves weigh sub 100 and I kinda like the chances of 3 wolves against these dudes. And wolves don't have 4 hands to go with those teeth.

If they have ANYTHING that affords them the ability to climb and come at you from various angles, it gets ugly fast.

If it’s in the wild I actually like the humans chances more. You start giving the humans with the bigger brains the ability to manufacture tools. Humans will start grabbing logs and making spears. Game over for the chimps when they’re outnumbered.
Like I said in my original post; the more time you give the humans to prepare the more successful their outcome. If you just suddenly dropped the into a cage and said “Go” I don’t think the humans would win.
