Chimps have a higher % of fast twitch muscle, which is ideal for a fighting situation.

You also continually take the 100 pound chimp, which is towards the lower end of their size.

Even if we don't get into outlier territory, a normal sized chimp can be as strong as a 200 pound man. So you have a 5 foot tall chimp with the strength of a 200 pound man, more explosive than that man and with razor sharp teeth.

This is more than just a strength comparison.

Im trying to take the average. They range from 80-130 lbs for male chimps.

The exact average would be roughly 105 lbs......

Incorrect

A normal size chimp would equal the stregth of a 142 lb man

105 lbs X 1.35 = 142 lbs

The normal range for chimps extends above 130 and chimps can be as big as 200.

A 130 pound chimp with 1.5 times human strength is right about the strength of a 200 lb man.

So, I mean, if you're saying the humans are all outliers like LSU offensive linemen and the chimps can't even use larger normal, I guess you can stack the deck to where humans have an advantage in strength. Heck, if you give the chimps smaller female chimps, the humans have even more of an advantage.

Thats kinda the idea of the entire thread man

lsupride87 the only homie in this thread making any sort of sense.

You got a chimp with the strength of 140# man versus Lesnar with the strength of 300# roided out man (not a 300# Joey's World Tour man).

Let me put it another way.

Frank Sinatra vs. Brock Lesnar, both in their prime, who you got?

I heard there is a guy from New Iberia that has one arm. He worked at the primate research facility. Either a chimp or other primate ripped his arm off when he passed too close to the cage.
Had to be a bad day.

Average chimp is three times stronger than average man, so 3 average chimps can bench press a combined 900 lbs. average chimp can pull twice as much as push, so the chimp can pull 1800 lbs which is enough to tear off arms.

130 is within average size for a chimp. Like I said, the true chimp outliers are the ones pushing 200, and I'm not trying to use them.

The biggest issue humans have isn't strength related, though. Chimps aren't built to run and are generally estimated to run around 25 mph. That explosiveness and agility plus teeth is what would give the humans trouble.

Fights aren't tests of absolute strength.

No

130lbs is the very top end of their standard deviation

Apparently we just need to train attack chimps. We’ve been wasting our time with dogs.

Maybe so. How much can dogs bench press?

you keep spouting this but it is simply not true. the muscle fiber is 1.35 times the strength of a humans. if the chimp has 20" pythons, which most have very large arms and shoulders, their arms and shoulders will be 1.35 times the strength of a man with the exact same size muscles. There is a reason why a normal man can barely do pullups but a chimp can swing around pull himself around with 1 arm.

yall are stupid.

I figure you're pulling from the same Wiki article as me. Average range is 88-132. The next sentwnce says male chimps can be as large as 200.

Like I said, though, the fast twitch explosiveness and teeth of a chimp is the bigger issue for humans than size or strength.

These body builders would run out of sear terror seeing an enraged wild chimp.
The chimps would be like the looney tunes Tasmanian Devil. These poor guys wouldn’t know what hit them.

The study literally says this

quote:

But because they are lighter than the average person, humans can actually outperform them in absolute terms, say O’Neill.

It is literally saying the average human is stronger than the average chimp

Not sure how else to write that for you diat

Seventeen pages is impressive. Three chimps would eat the face and fingers and genitals off of all those guys. I'm sure this has been covered but that's what would happen. We have brains but chimps have the braun.
