There is not one good thing coming out of tobacco use. Nothing.
Then it should be banned entirely.
But I think those local and state governments that get billions collectively from tobacco taxes would disagree on nothing good coming from tobacco use.

ATC finna have a hiring spree baws. Gonna need a lot more of those SOBs to catch the cashiers at stores not checking ID's on smokes now....and to catch the handoffs of joes from the over 21 buyer to the under 21 consumer in the parking lot.
As part of the spending bill they are actually providing grant funding to help ATC departments enforce the changes.

I personally wish they would ban tobacco.

They should make 18 the age limit for everything...including driving.
Permits at 16 and 17, but you can't drive at night or if the only other passengers are under 18. You can be alone, but not with other underage teenagers.
ETA:
But 21 to vote

will say I don't think the voting age will ever be lowered. I think 18 is a good number for voting and court. 18 year olds are definitely not as informed, but like it or not they are being affected by these elections. Prior to 18 elections are more affecting your parents directly than you as a minor
You're either an adult or you're not. If you don't think someone is mature enough to understand the ramifications of smoking, then they shouldn't be expected to understand the ramifications of criminal activity. It's complete nonsense.

I'm curious what your position is on marijuana?

Understanding right and wrong, and understanding the effects of a highly addictive chemical are not the same thing.

At 25, everything should be legal. The brain is matured and you are either working, finishing advanced degree program, or have given up on life altogether. Whatever the case, at this point you should be able to purchase weed, alcohol, tobacco, and whores at your heart's desire.

It should be legal along with all other drugs (although I understand and would not fight someone over the hard stuff remaining illegal, I get it).
The fact is marijuana has many benefits psychologically. Tobacco is a temporary release that you have to feed every hour. It doesn't do any good, unless (as I previously stated) you are a drug addict and use it as an addiction crutch.

I believe that is roughly the age your brain development stops...right? I like it.

Consider this--An 18 year old girl can abort her unborn child because the law states it's her body, her choice. Shall we pick and choose where this applies now? Or rather shall we let our government pick and choose where this applies?

The argument here is about tobacco... I don't see what having an abortion has to do with smoking a cigarette. The fact is, ages must be set and as far as I'm concerned the higher the age for tobacco the better.

Cigarette smokers are more expensive and less productive than non-smokers.

I understand the sentiment, but I do occasionally enjoy a nice A. Fuentes with my scotch.
I'd prefer they ban smokeless tobacco. spit cups and spitting in garbage cans is about as nasty and trashy as it gets. And I used to do it so I know.
