I hate to say it but I agree. I think the ship sailed a long time ago. They are all on the same side...their side.

I want this to not be the case but it appears that it may be true.

All this time I thought Republicans controlled the Senate. If Lindsey can’t get votes for this, why all the confidence for an impeachment trial?

Michael Knowles made a pretty compelling case for not calling either of them today. There's little upside - why would you want to voluntarily blow up Biden's campaign in January when you could hold your fire until October and then destroy him if he's the nominee, securing the Presidency and the House?

Because it’s not about blowing up his campaign. Biden may not even be the nominee.

It’s about finding out the truth. I feel pretty certain the Democrat base couldn’t care less if Biden is corrupt. It sure didn’t make any difference with Hillary.

Lindsey Graham is the swampiest of the swamp vermin. He says all the right things on the talk shows but never follows through.

Why would a defendant need “votes” to approve a witness being called? Can the president not defend himself independent of what the senate wants? Honestly unaware how this works.

I suspect he's talking about his committee

We could probably discern that if anyone bothered putting up a damn link.

Hunter Biden will be a waste of time. Do the majority of posters want to win this thing or solely focus on some sort of retribution?

Win the Senate trial first, smash your opponent in the election, then begin exacting your pounds of flesh. I assure you if Trump follows this path, his enemies will pay come November. The longer the wait for revenge the dirtier the underwear becomes.

If I were McConnell I would get 45 on the record and walk over to Mittens and show him and then promise him a position on the most meaningless committees if he goes against him and the Republicans win. Go to Susan Collins give her a major chair and tell Murkowski he will give her enough money to insure her re election this go around and next.

According to Schiff and his conjured impeachment, Trump is terrified to face Biden and enlisted the help of the Ukraine to take him out.

Since when do you need votes to call a witness to testify before the Senate?

Beat the hill out of me! I've never known "jurors" to vote on who is called as witnesses for either side.

Was Grahm referring to the senate committee he chairs? Why would he need votes to call someone to testify?
