If Butch Davis had stayed with Miami he would have wound up one of the greatest college coaches of all-time. He was really rebuilding that program.

Instead, he made that horrendous move to the Cleveland Browns and derailed his career, in my view.

What am I missing with drinkwitz? He’s a much better candidate than butch, he’s young but looks like he’s going to be a damn good coach, and went to AR tech so he knows the area..

Nearly took the Alabama job in 2001. Was always looking to leave Miami for some reason.

It was mentioned it was Miami's administration. And, that's true. That's why Butch left. Miami never wanted to pay him as he should've been. Even at 68, I think Butch could do a good job rebuilding Arkansas.
