If Burch is hired he'll run a tight ship. He wouldn't be the sexiest hire but he would be better than taking the interim tag off some guy.

I’m assuming they don’t think he has enough experience which is a bunch of baloney. Programs like Arkansas need to realize that they are never going to get the obvious home run hire, a proven coach who was able to win big at a lesser program. Those coaching candidates will always get scooped up by the elite programs. They have to take a chance on a promising, up and coming coach before they build up their resume and have the top programs chasing after them.

Petrino was exactly that (he proved himself at Louisville before going to the Falcons. He was one of the hottest if not hottest coach in CFB before going to the Falcons). Bert was a proven coach at an equal program.
