I feel very strong that this LSU team would beat anyone. But, I can see how, at this point, the playoff committee could put Ohio St ahead of LSU

At the end of the day it doesn't matter. Just win

Scoring Offense:
1 Ohio St 49.9 ppg
2 LSU 48.7 ppg

Total Offense:
2 LSU 560.5 ypg
5 Ohio St 534.3 ypg

Scoring Defense:
4 Ohio St 11.8 avg
31 LSU 22.1 avg

Total Defense:
1 Ohio St 232.3 ypg
35 LSU 345.9

Opponents Record:
7 Ohio St 82-50 62.1%
40 LSU 75-57 56.8%

What about the %deviation from their opponents season statistical average, not including the game that they played in? Can you figure that out for me?

Very short sided. Try again, go another level deeper on the competition level.

Dude. I look at this lsu team and how they play, even compared to our past great teams and idk...it would take a hell of a performance in all phases for any team to beat us. This team is special. I know Clemson and Ohio State are good but I just can't picture this team losing with the offense we have and Joe burrow leading this team. They're a fricking force. Geaux tigers.

Ohio State is both benefiting from the eyeball test while the teams they play are getting pure Record treatment

Penn State looks like a shorty team
Michigan looks like a shitty team
Wisconsin looks like a great G6 team, but a 3rd tier P5 team
Cincinnati is not a top end team.

Yet Ohio State gets credit for beating them, and credit for beating teams like Rutgers and Northwestern

Lol. It's like you idiots have no comprehension of the schedule they played, or lack of it. When lsu beats ga sat, you line up our top 4 wins, ga, bama, auburn, fl, against their top 4 wins....Wisconsin, Minn, Penn St, Michigan. The sec teams would likely be double digits favorites in all four games.

So Clemson must be on a different planet by this rationale.

Make Fields throw downfield and see how good they are. Nobody they've played has the ability to make them do that. Stopping Dobbins wouldn't be an easy task, but we've played some quality RBs/will again this weekend.

I'm not convinced Fields would beat our corners consistently without making mistakes.

You can't look at stats that way. That only works if the opponents are the same.

One kid has a 3.0 GPA at MIT. Another kid has a 3.4 at Grambling. I guess the kid at Grambling is the better student when you look at the stats.
