Someone needs to explain to me why a city the size of Baton Rouge can’t support a decent BBQ restaurant.

They just aren’t good.
They’re not even decent.

Parking was a huge issue there and they aren’t close enough to walk for almost anyone
Also too expensive for college kids

Too expensive for the quality. Their Mojo BBQ sauce was very good. Really the best thing on the menu was the burger which is not a great sign at a BBQ restaurant. The space was also way too big for them. I only saw people sitting at tables a few times, everyone else was at the bar.

Damn I wish I would have known. I would have swung by Saturday for one last pint.
When I was a student I lived across the street from there, and probably drank at least 500 $1 PBR's over the years.
Food was absolute trash, but those dollar PBR's were perfect.

Voodoo is meh at best. I've had worse, but it's nothing I look forward to.

- Voodoo was mediocre at every location I went to
- Podnuh's was always pretty good
- Cou-yons had a weird smell
I remember when everyone was going ape shite over Pimanyoli's but I always thought they really sucked. Food was cold the three times I ate there and it took forever to get our food even with an empty restaurant.
