Kennedy is from Mobile. A 3 hour drive to B.R. We've done well with Mobile athletes in the past because of the proximity being a positive point.

He is a little thin to play inside. He is around 6'3" to 6'3 1/2" 210-215. He can always add bulk, but I see him as a outside/edge rushing LB who can cover.

Another thing I think gets lost in the Alabama vs LSU recruiting battle is how much longer does Saban actually coach? He's 68 years old. A player signing now days has to wonder if he will be there another four to five years or will he retire before he graduates or makes it to the NFL...Just a little more uncertainty every year as this thing moves forward...

How long ago was that? My understanding was they didn't catch wind until the last week but by that point plans were already set in stone.

The guys that cover Bama didn’t know he was visiting, not sure about the coaching staff but you have to imagine they didn’t know either because they would have done everything possible to stop him.
On the flip side, the guys that cover LSU knew but kept it from the public.

Thanks Vol for in the info! I'm hearing Alabama tried everything to talk him out of coming, but he was set on coming. This kid is a super person, incredible athlete and would be a HUGE flip if we can somehow get him to sign.
