We haven’t been there for a while so they doubt us. Once we go to playoffs a few years in a row, we will start to get the benefit of the doubt like Clemson, Osu and Bama Are now getting.

Well the things that some of these dumbasses in our fan base say about other teams and their fans, it’s no wonder - we bring it upon ourselves.

Even though you only have 29 posts and are possibly a troll, I'll answer by saying that LSU is getting lots of respect. We might not get some of the benefit of the "blue bloods" of CFB but most of the national media is loving them some LSU right now.
Everyone freaking out over us dropping to #2 needs to chill out. Over the past decade we would have loved the chance to just make the top 4 and now that we have enjoyed the top spot for a few weeks, some feel entitled. Stop acting like Bama fans.
LSU controls its own destiny and college football does not hate LSU. If we win out we will be ranked #1 when it matters most.

There is some serious crying & whining from a few fans in this thread. Good grief!
Clemson has been in the National Title game 3 times in the last 4 years, is reigning National Champs, hasn’t lost in forever, and didn’t make the Top 4 in the first ranking and is a solid 3 behind us & Ohio St.
Forget their conference and who they’ve played. They are legit and have proven it in post season play.
You can easily make a case that they aren’t getting respect. Anyone can make a case if that’s your angle.
Just get in the top 4, play ball, and win your 2 games. You do that, they call you National Champs. Nothing else matters.

Every fanbase has people like you, pipedream, people who think the refs, or the league, are out to get their team. It’s a manifestation of self-absorption. It doesn’t matter what team you rooted for you’d feel the same.
I just watched the documentary Sunderland Till I Die, about an English soccer team. I was struck by how much some of their fans thought the refs were bought and paid for, and the league(s) was/were out to get them. Same shite.
I went to the Bama game, and overheard Bama fans complaining that the selection committee was out to get them.

Our fans don’t understand because we haven’t been in the playoff spotlight the past few years.
You need to understand that this is the media being the media in this new age. It’s an A D D society. They slobbered on this new LSU offense for a few weeks and it peaked with the Bama win.
They have to go to the next story and try to create drama. If you don’t recognize this, then you haven’t been paying attention. Relax. It’s all ‘reality show’ drama and it’s working bc our own are buying into it.
I for one see the bigger picture and give two shits either way bc as long as burrow is my quarterback, and there’s time on the clock within a score, we are winning!
Nothing better than having a qb that you have complete faith in as a football fan!
So relax and enjoy!

This year, OSU barely beats Penn State with a backup qb and it’s OUR defense implicated as making an incomplete team, a term never uttered before in reference to rankings. And some sports reporters are calling bs before we even have to.

Do they or are they just talking about the heisman and people in the running. As far as our football team we seem to let teams rack up yards and points and this sticks in the back of peoples minds. LSU is not a complete dominating team and have to win two very tough games to even get to the CFP.
If Joe gets close to 350 yards passing both games and LSU wins convincingly against A&M and beats Georgia then Joe will win the Heisman
College football is what are you doing for me today and if Joe and LSU have one bad game then both get bounced.

Some LSU fans have to have something to WHINE about all the time. Want some cheese and crackers with that?
Honest fans realize that the defense is something to be concerned about. The Tigers are at # 2 because of it but can still beat anybody they will face. Quit bitching and enjoy the ride.

They say OSU has a better defense, but utters nothing about who has the best offense. Only playing the game will settle that. Be patient.
