Nov 8th my nephew bought a new Mercury motor and prop from David Wade Marine.

Yes, he paid cash for it unlike a lot of people who finance things. He is very tight with his money. He went with best price versus a professional dealer which was his mistake.

He been going back and forth with them about getting the right hardware kit for the prop.
They seemed to keep dropping the ball on this.

Now it is the holidays which he was hoping to run the boat and he cannot due to David Wade Marine dropped the ball a few times since Nov 8th.

I told him at this point to chalk it up as a loss.
Take the prop back to David Wade Marine to get your money back.
Never go back to him again.
Go to a more professional dealer to get a prop or a prop shop.

I’ve seen my kid get stuff like this for his homework where he has to fill in the blanks to make a complete sentence.

He said they gave him a good deal on the motor and he bought it from them on Nov 8th. He said it is around the corner from his house fair reason to use them.

Seems like they dropped the ball big time as he has to go buy another prop or let the boat sit until David Wade Marine resolve this.

He is pissed as he cannot run it due to they sold him a stainless steel prop. They just cannot seem to get the right hardware for the prop to fit his motor.

It is the holiday, they are closed, and he cannot enjoy his new boat due to his dealer dropping the ball.

I told him just get his money back on the prop and never go back to David Wade Marine. I will buy him a prop from a shop in Lafayette, LA; tomorrow. He can run his boat over the holidays and chalk this up to staying away from dealer like this.

Pretty sad I never had a dealer let me take my boats without some sort of prop on it to use

So he bought a motor without a prop and can't run the motor till he gets a prop? Is this what you are tring to tell us?

I hope he does and explain why he dropped the ball on something very simple.

I would be pissed too if I bought a motor Nov 8th and I am still waiting on hub kit.

Remember, the sour taste of a raw deal, last a lot longer than the sweet taste of a cheap price! Lessoned learned I hope.

How the hell did he walk out of there with a motor and the prop not on the motor?

I mean, I understand that a prop is pretty easy to install on the motor but why?

He needs a prop nut and a tab washer.
Walmart may have one. They're like $15.

I told him he may have saved less than $100 over buying a Yamaha.

At the end of the day with the Yamaha he would be on the water fishing.

It is a Solaris prop which you have to use their hub kit. A Mercury kit will not fit with that prop.

If we reduced the speckled trout limits there would be some left for when your son gets a spinny wheel put back on his merc.
