Bama still having a chance to get into playoffs. They should be irrelevant now given their schedule. The "bama bias" means that every little thing has to go against them to keep them out AND every box checked before they are not considered, but every other team in the country has to prove they're worthy of getting in!
Been watching gameday this morning and they mentioned Bama and playoffs chances with discussion at least ten times. SICK OF IT!

If Bama is in, it would be so unfair but if this happens, we'll just have to kick their asses again. We can't do anything about it but win out and kick arse!!! THAT is under LSU's control!

Wouldn't you say Bama has the best 1 loss??? And they're STILL behind Georgia.

STOP BITCHING and let it play out.

My only problem is that they are giving them a pass due to their QB being injured. Since when is that a fricking thing? Can you do that for any position or just qb? Everybody’s banged up this late. It’s football for fricks sake

Bama privilege is real. I posted this in another thread.

Imagine a scenario where an ACC champion Clemson team, who lost their first game of the season on the road to Auburn, won 12 straight games, beating a no. 7 Miami team to end the season and then missed the playoff to a one loss Oklahoma, who lost at home and didn't even play in their conf title game. People would lose their sh*t.

This is obviously alluding to Oregon's potential run. But things do clear up a bit when you take the name Alabama out of the equation.

As long as Oregon or Utah take care of business, they aren't getting in. So don't stress about it

Its the most deserving vs the best 4 argument.
BAma will not deserve to lose at home and get a bye. But there arent 4 teams that would be favored over the gumps on a neutral field, either. If they win out its a 69% chance they get in.

Lately, its been the best 4 getting in. I personally think, most deserving has a place some years.
I will never understand how losing at home benefits the loser and penalizes the undefeated winner.

Whenever, a team doesnt play in the conference championship game, they should not get in over 2 conference Champs some years. But, I dont have a vote.

Its out of LSU's hands, just play football and let the chips fall as they may.
Putting 40+ again on the gumps is not the worst thing in the world.

They do have the best 1 loss.

Problem is, they have no signature wins because their schedule is consistently garbage. They've known they can schedule weak cupcakes and go undefeated as long as they beat LSU, and they've got a golden ticket to the CFP.

That backfired on them this year.

Well, you’ll see the Bama bias ramp up and all of a sudden it’s quality loses, not quality wins. It’s close loses and not close wins. It’s scheduling nobodies versus scheduling somebodies..... Bama bias is always there, you don’t even have to look for it...Just keep beating them, that’s all you can do...

Talk is talk. There is clearly BAMA fatigue amongst much of college football. many stars will have to aligh like it did for lsu in 2007 for them to get into the playoffs.

Once LSU beat them their strenth of schedule became a big factor. lsu will be in good shaoe if they have an undefeated regular season which would buffe them from a loss to Georgia in the title game unless they get blown out . Their resume should get them in over most one loss conference champs. Baylor and minnesota pose the biggest threats if either go undefeated.

If they get in they get in. But it is a long shot at this time. There is clearly sentiment for new faces.

I am generally not an optimist regarding such things, but I am of the opinion that Bama is the one who doesn’t want to play LSU again. I honestly believe we could beat them again and do it more convincingly this time- and how incredibly sweet would that be??!? I am not afraid of this Bama team this year. This is not 2011- we have a staff that will scheme and prepare appropriately, not take anything for granted, a team that will be focused and hungry and most of all a quarterback that is very capable, has the will to do it and will lead this team. I said pretty much the same thing on the Bama board and got banned, lol. But I firmly believe this. It is not that far fetched of a concept- this time around.

You have an argument here. Since three of Bama's touchdowns were long plays of the fluke variety, it's highly unlikely they could duplicate their performance from last Saturday. Take away those three plays and the Tide was beaten soundly.
