one of TBob's latest "liked" tweets

"As a Black Louisianan, I know the importance of this election is too great to sit idly by so I wrote this @Medium piece to encourage fellow Black Louisianans to make sure we get out and vote TOMORROW for @JohnBelforLA!"

where’s the money coming from for him to hire the best criminal defense attorney in the state?

At this point, His new lawyer is going to try to keep him out of jail or at least reduce his sentence.

The wierdest part of this is that I listened to his show and really thought he was talented. I can’t reconcile how he could be so friggin stupid yet maintain a very good on air presense.

He should go to prison. These false hate crime claims are despicable.

It's not just that. He tried to shake down WWL for money.

So, there is forensic evidence, circumstantial evidence, his attorney bailed, and he just happened to get a new phone and discard the old one.

I wonder what T-Bob is thinking?

Is he gay? I'm wondering what his incentive would be to take a case like this given the mountain of evidence and the fact that his client is in debt.

Someone dumb enough to throw away their phone and believe this step will do anything to change the situation (in IT terms) is confirmation he's more than dumb enough to have gone down this path to begin with.

Ask Lois Lerner where destroying all those hard drives will get you: nowhere! Email and digital signatures don't just reside on a physical device, people, this is 2019!! At least Hillary Clinton knew it was important to host your own email when you're doing dirt so you can cover your tracks.

You can't do it a lot, but you can certainly break off with clients. All of their attorney client privileged information is still protected, but you can do this with just cause.

You sure can, especially when they admit to you they are guilty or demonstrate more than likely they are by their actions, and the attorney believes he may be forced to compromise himself by representing the client.

I recall Vince Marinello's first criminal defense attorney fired him as a client midway through the trial, and Marinello had to find new representation while the trial was ongoing. I later heard an interview after the trial with Vince’s neighbor & friend who ultimately testified against him, confirming Vince told several people essentially he was guilty based on the circumstances, including his original attorney.

remember OJ had Kardashian as his first attorney but he had to back off.

OJ probably confessed to him which meant that there was no way that he could defend his innocence.

In most cases you don't need any cause. You aren't a slave to a client once they hire you.

You can say "I don't wish to represent you anymore" and that's it (most of the time).

I thought this is true, but if you do it too late in the case (right before trial) or mid-trial or do it often, you'll get an ethics review or whatever they call it.
