Sounds like Dunlap got rid of his phone before the police executed the warrant.

Did he throw it in the lake as a police helicopter hovered overhead?

Wwl released a statement that he tried to strong arm them into settlement, but they had the evidence. They also said he had considerable credit card and student loan debt and was being garnished.

Yeah good luck with that. He will insist it is a setup until Seth gets out of prison.

It's amazing that after hearing on the news, reading it on Reddit and other internet news sources, watching new tv shows and movies, you would think that this nation is a cesspool of hateful bigots constantly engaging in horrible crimes against any one of several minority groups. But nearly every time a story about a hate crime is screamed about on the news, it later proves (in much quieter tones) to be a hoax. Just how hateful is our society if the supply of hate crimes doesn't meet the demand to such a degree that members of so-called "oppressed minorities" have to constantly make them up?

Billy Gibbens is a good lawyer.

I always got a kick about his name, and at the time he worked at the US Attorney’s Office, there was another prosecutor by the name of Walter Becker.

We had a real 1970’s rock-n-roll all-star cast working in that office!

He should go to prison. These false hate crime claims are despicable.

Because hate crimes are extremely rare in this country. They are so rare that they are practically non existent.

As an informal guess, I would say that out of 100 hate crimes reportedly being aimed towards gays and minorities, 95 of them tend to be hoaxes at this point.

Occasionally you really do get one but it’s pretty rare to see. Nearly all of them tend to be a way to raise money via Go Fund Me or serve as a smokescreen for something else they are being accused of.

If I was facing indictment, I'd pick Billy Gibbens over Keiffer 100 times out of 100. A different level. In the top 5 I'd pick for any criminal case. Just saying.

Well Kiefer was never really going to rep him on the criminal charges. She was his civil attorney.

She dropped him as soon as she got the evidence.

Well uh yeah. Megan Kiefer doesn't do criminal defense and Billy Gibbens is one of the best in the state. Maybe the best.
