Anyone else notice this about football?

In baseball and basketball, you can easily identify players by their faces. When they are on the court or on the field, you can easily see their faces. So I can identify a russell westbrook or a mike trout by their photo.
In football they always have a helmet on. I often see pictures of football players and have no idea who they are. Anyone else?

The reason Michael Irvin and Miami players back in the day started taken the helmet off. Then the NCAA made the rule. You can not take off your helment
