BA has been flying out of Nashville as well for about a year. We are hoping to get a few more international flights here once airport expansion is complete.

there's a subsidy paid for that because of the music bidness, the flight to LAX too, been operated for years, initially by AA, I believe

BA sucks terribly.

My friend's 2 bags arrived 2 week and one month after he arrived.

They were never responsive. Never updated the location of the bags and never paid any compensation. It was crazy.

I've heard nothing but good things. We'll see. I'm waiting to board this flight in a few hours.

pretty typical response by someone that doesn't fly very much, has a minor inconvenience, then proclaims that the whole airline sucks, in this case it's just a hearsay anecdote

No no no, United is the worst because the two flights I was on this year were delayed! So what if it was foggy, never fly United again!

Is there enough of a demand that AF could warrant a daily to CDG

There used to be a direct flight from New Orleans to Paris years back. There was even one to Frankfurt for a while too.

Is BA still using 747's?

BA still has a few 747's in service but are being retried. This flight is on a 787. I have taken it 10-15 times now and it is amazing to and from. The US outbound leg is often much more packed than the return.

Folks here in Mobile County use MSY.

Cheaper than Mobile or Gulfport if you flying out west.

BA still has 34 747s in service. The last will be retired in 2024.

I think you are unaware how many Brits like New Orleans. They always have. Much of that goes to the fact so many New Orleans families opened their arms during WW2 and welcomed War Orphans into their homes until it was safe for them to return.

Would be huge if KLM came through with a direct to Amsterdam

A direct flight between the two most debaucherous cities in the world lol. They used to have direct flights between Memphis and Amsterdam. I don’t know why, but it was a thing.

Wasn't there a Toolame poster that claimed he worked for the airlines and said that the new terminal was going to reduce the # of major flights to NOLA?

They already have direct flights from Amsterdam to St. Maarten. St. Maarten is like a mini NOLA except that it has beaches and the Ukrainian/Russian mafia makes sure that the crime stays low and the percentage of topless european women on the beach stays high.

So I do not see why they would let morals stand in the way of an Amsterdam to NOLA flight.

Northwest and KLM were partners back then.
