Absolutely it was. Of course at the time we were assured it wasn’t and always all about equality.

Yes, and I called it at the time, and was roundly castigated by the homo defenders.

There is a connection bc the gay marriage movement went from “equality” to “acceptance/preference”. They hitched their wagon to the trans movement and here we are.

Perhaps not an intentional plan - hell, I'm open to the idea that your average gay marriage advocate (full disclosure - I defended traditional marriage, because it deserved defending, but also for civil unions) was probably well intentioned.

But, once you open that door - once you start down that path, there just is no reversal.

How can you tell the polyamorous folks their definition doesn't work, once we've moved on from the traditional, millennia old (at least in the West), 1 man, 1 woman?

How can the same folks who advocate for 14, 15 year old girls getting abortions without parental consent they cannot marry someone just 4 or 5 years older? Or 10?

Now, the bestiality thing is probably a little ways off, because these progressives hold the simultaneous positions that animals are entitled to the same rights as humans, yet cannot, by definition, grant consent to anything.

But, we'll get there eventually...

Basic root cause analysis would tell you that without straight marriage there would be no gay marriage, so straight marriage was the real slippery slope.

I would just like to take the time to point out that you cannot "transmit AIDS". Now you can all say you learned something today

Throw in the normalization in all forms of media. You can't watch a kids show without a gay couple being thrown in there.

Postmodernism infiltrating our society was the slippery slope that got this ball rolling.

When you teach people that truth is relative, words don't really mean anything, that there isn't really meaning at all, then you can say, do, and think as you wish without responsibility or judgement. This line of thinking leads to acceptance of immoral behavior which leads to acceptance of more immoral behavior.

Well, the acceptance of deviant behavior, generally leads to more deviant behavior, which leads to more deviant behavior...

Do any of those things really impact you or your family?

Let people live their life. It doesn't affect you.

Of course it was. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to you and/or fooling themselves.
