These people are the fricking scum of the Earth.

On Monday evening, Sabo, the conservative street artist who is mostly known for his street posters that randomly pop up in California, reported on his Facebook page that he has now been kicked off of PayPal. "Today Paypal canceled my account with all of my money in it," he announced. "They are holding my funds for the next 6 months." PayPal is the money exchanging platform Sabo used to earn income, and this de-platforming hits him hard financially. "I explained to them that I live in a city with 60,000 homeless people and that they are about to make me and my wife join their ranks." Last year, Sabo was also de-platformed from Twitter without being given a reason. He gave an exclusive interview to PJMedia's Megan Fox when it happened.
quote:
"I trusted them," he explained. "I worked in the start-ups for many years and it sucks to see what they've become. The people of PayPal obviously haven't taken note of how many once-giants are less than memories now. Their time will come soon as well. When it comes to the transfer of money, trust is paramount."
These people are the fricking scum of the Earth.

It is absurd to keep money in PayPal or venmo out anything like that. But alot of people do it.

That’s absurd. It’s not their money to keep. They are merely a payment exchange platform. This is akin to the bank seizing all of the funds in your account because you spent a few days in jail. The only difference being that there is no crime being committed here only a dislike of his political leaning.

Sabo is a US Marine.
Not that it'd be ok if this were done to e regular citizen, but holy hell. Is there no line to cross?
"Sorry little Jimmy, I know how have terminal cancer but someone spotted a pic of you in a MAGA hat so we're freezing your account."

Peter Thiel and Elon Musk need to start a new version of PayPal that doesn’t discriminate

Don’t they give pretty good interest rates (comparatively speaking)?
Also in his industry he needs to be able to send and receive money quickly multiple times per day so it’s probably way easier to just keep a large PP balance and work that way

“Conservatives” defend this crap because “why don’t you just create your own 100 billion dollar company that does payment processing”, along with your own website hosting company, social media company, and search engine since they get deplatformed from those too.

It is as if we are moving toward a society where one must have a mark to prove they are approved by the left in order to be allowed to buy, sell or work.
Wait a minute, we have known this for 2000 years.

It' HIS money. How is this even legal?

Why wait on them? Even if you or I were to start a rival alternative, the same problem still exists. You need investors to grow the business and that requires giving up a slice of a equity. Big tech investors are the same people that invest and run PayPal Facebook and every other online platform. You’ll end up right back where PayPal is now with the same leftist ideology calling the shots.
And before anyone says you don’t need investors, a well developed app is going to cost you around 200k starting out. Most normal folks don’t have that kind of cash to risk.

This is one area that I could see dems and republicans working together.
E commerce and e financial companies need a good swift kick in the butt.

They do this in case the user has scammed any buyers and they can use the money to refund them. It is in their terms of service.

His account was alerted for unusual transactional or login activity and the investigator found something that was unusual enough to cause an account closure.
I know this because I used to do these investigations. There is more to this story that either he doesn't know or he isn't telling.
I am in no way, shape, or form agreeing with what they do or siding with the leftists. Just stating that this is how PayPal works.

Because they have the clout and the connections to overcome the system. Mark Cuban, Elon Musk, Peter Thiel could literally tackle this in an afternoon and make millions doing so. Unfortunately it's probably not worth the political capital they'd have to expend or the opportunity costs of them spending their time on other more lucrative ventures.

Entergy cuts power to conservative group.
AT&T cuts phone service to convicted felons
Mastercard cancels credit cards of alleged Nazi group
Comcast cuts cable service to NRA members.
How is this any different? These are financial and utility services. They should be agnostic to any political views.
