My wife is a public school teacher, in one of the best districts in the State mind you, and teachers get shite on in this state.

My daughter in law is too. She's great. But throwing money at teachers that shouldn't be in a classroom is a ludicrous answer to improving education in this state.

I’ve met Tate and Hood. I like Hood a lot but they are both dirty. Both are assholes but Tate is worse.

No kidding. When we approved the "boats" for gaming, it was totally going to fund education. Mississippians have the attention span of a gnat.

His hunting dog will probably do a better job as Governor than he would.

I’ve met them both also. Tate is all business, Hood is a good ole boy and nice guy.
I’m voting for Tate.
I CANNOT trust the democrats.

The education voters are still idealistic and likely young. Hood would reverse the up tick the state is on economically although admittedly Tate is a weak candidate.

That's actually a really good ad. Especially compared to this guy:

I am fiscally conservative but not to the point of "no new taxes". I would be ok with a gas tax increase. That's a user tax and they should pay for road and bridges improvements. I could be almost in favor of some Medicaid expansion if we could somehow absolutely be assured that the fed would do their match. It could salvage some struggling rural hospitals. I don't trust Obamacare, though.

That's not really him. He's simply acting like something he's not to try to appeal to the average Mississippian.

Specifically with education in this state.

Man if you think a politician is going to all of a sudden start making inner city parents care about educating their kids you are an idiot. You could double the teachers pay and JPS would still be an absolute disaster because the parents overwhelmingly don’t give a shite and public schools are glorified day cares. The administrators are all crooks too

Also the universities suck because they aren’t allowed to raise the entrance requirements so all you have to do to get in is fog a mirror, and the educators don’t care because all they care about is getting that tuition check.

But please tell us more about how giving teachers a pay raise will solve the problem

Major industry is coming to Mississippi in droves. Toyota, Continental Tire, etc.

Other than Lake Charles, which was planned prior to JBE and in fact Sasol cut back their expansion after JBE election, IIRC, why can't LA get these kind of jobs?

I am sure patronage exists in Miss as well as LA so it must be Governor "Sue the Industries" and his band of Trial Lawyer Troubadour's. There can be no other reason.

LA Baws and Bawettes, get your arse out and VOTE. We can have a great economy with the right business environment.
