I'm more fascinated by the diverse array of devices designed to make these people change their minds in a hurry. We should get them out and exercise them more often.

I wonder how many tattoo bashers in here walk around vaping every day.

It really has gotten out of hand with tats. The thing is, you did it when you are young, but you go through changes- what you think is hip today, next year you think is dumb. Both my daughters have tats, the youngest is already trying to remove a couple of them. Back in the 90's I though about getting a couple, but glad I decided not to. Heck, even nerds get tats today, saying it 'represents me'. Younger girls who get them don't see what some older women look like with skin sagging along with their tats, which is a big turn off. I figure with no tats, that's my statement- if you want to know what I am about, just ask me! I do have real long hair, but hey, I can cut it or put it under my shirt if I so desire, but you are stuck with a tat, unless you want surgery. But my final thought is this- A woman's body is a temple and you don't desecrate a temple!

Well, I'm tattoo-free and I do vape semi-regularly. I'm not a tattoo-hater but I do kind of feel sorry for people who get them. Vapes, fedoras, etc. can be discarded- what happens when some Generation Whatever decides tattoos are the fedoras of its day? You're stuck with them, buddy.

Tats, above all else, are messages. They are just like bumper stickers or tweets or Facebook posts. I generally don't like people who feel the need to print messages about themselves on their bodies.

With divorce rates like they are, getting your ol ladys name put on your body permanently is pretty stupid.

You think everyone between 25-40 had a poor upbringing and little self respect just because they have tattoos?
It's a combination between nature and nurture, but in general yes.

I have a large friend group (between the ages 28-32), and I don't have any friends with tattoos.

Well it's a good thing no one gives a fiddler's frick about your opinion, because your worldview seems to be not only trashy, but a bit pathetic as well

33 here and no tats. I keep hoping the trend stops within the next 15 years before my 5 and 1 year olds grow up.

People trying to stand out from the crowd, but not have to "do" anything in the process. If you want to really stand out, you have to create something.

Is this depression expected to make an eastward shift? Are we in danger of the start time for LSU moving?

Tattoo removal clinics are one of the fastest growing businesses in California, hopefully this like others that start on the west coast is a trend.
