This is somewhat true. When I regularly attended NFL games, most of the fan bases were pretty classy.
I went to Cowboy games back when fans dressed well for the games and I never saw anything that remotely resembled a disturbance in the seats. Of course, my season tickets were down on the 35 yard line, just a few rows up.

Philly fans tried to fight a player from their own 76ers because he - a lifelong Skins fan - dared to show up to the game in Skins gear.
Idk if Skins fans are classy or not. They've been so beaten into submission by Snyder's ownership that they've grown painfully apathetic. Half the time they're outnumbered in their own stadium.
