It was a terrible call by the refs and it’s not even arguable.

Wow i forgot about about that play. Im with you bad call. I was speakingof a different play. But i sdnt have even mentioned it. Thisguy is a freak. I really believe the sky is the limit for this guy. There are very few that canbe this versatile and as a freshman is really rare. This team is full of freaks and if they get the pass rush figured out........

Agree, people are underestimating (not you) his strength, I saw him in an earlier game bull rush the tackle and take him to the qb. His obvious strength is his speed and quickness off the edge, need this guy on the field more, he's too talented.

He did his job and the refs made an awful call.

A low hit is suppose to be knees down. Marcel hit Trask in his hip

Totally agree. I rarely point out physical aggressiveness as an issue.Especially 1 that sees a player cause havoc on a missing pass rush for my favorite team.
I was speaking of a pass rush mental mistake giving up the edge on a different important play. I sdve never mentioned it. Im a fan of both #9' s hugely.

I think we play Calling Baton Rouge quite enough.

Sounds like the plan is to keep him at OLB and beef him up. I agree with the staff

He just moves too well to be a rush LB, and needs prob 25lbs to be an EDGE player, if not more.

Not in college ball

He was mainly just running stunts from a DE position so that he wouldn't have to engage blockers.

Sounds like a great scheme to me

No one cares about college ball. He’s at LSU to get to the nfl. He doesn’t have the frame to be an edge rusher. He’ll likely transition into a box safety like Jacoby Stevens

Worked well on Saturday but it’s on tape now. He can’t play on running downs and his moves consist of that stunt and trying to run around the OT. He’s exciting player but very limited in that specific role

Well O and the staff both thinks he’s an OLB. He’s 6’3” and easily had the frame to get to 220-225lbs of lean muscle. Kids extremely lanky and absolutely has the frame to take more weight.

How do you know that since he hasn’t played? By the way go watch the game again, he bullrushes and gets pressure at 200 lbs.

I agree he’s not a 3 down player but it he staff thinks he’s an OLB and I do too. I see him as a pass rusher. We’ll see what happens.

They call Jacoby Stevens a safety, too lol

He’s 6’1” 195 bro.

To play LB in the nfl which is not out of the question: 225 at least

To be an edge rusher: 240 at least. Even so, you get to 240 from where he is now & his elite athleticism is sapped. And there are very few 6’1 edge rushers in the L.

Just putting the pieces together for you.

He could be the next Stevens, but he has as good a chance of being the next Tyler Shelvin as he has of being the next Delpit. Delpit has corner coverage skills as a safety. You always hear coaches and scouts talking about a corner’s ability to flip his hips. Well, that’s Delpit. He can line up on most receivers and check them man to man. That’s a rarity in a safety, and that’s why the NFL is going to take him in the top 10 picks. Stevens and Brooks simply don’t have that talent. They are more powerfully built, though.

Stevens played in the box early in the year but after Harris went down he’s absolutely playing a safety role.

The greatest edge rushing LBer of all time was 237 pounds. Continue to show your “knowledge”

He’s listed at 6’2” 195 and the staff thinks he’s an OLB. Be careful Lester. You may be saying some more shite that can be my new sig line in a year or 2.

I’m not sure what your watching but Delpit strives in zone coverage not man to man. His strength is his ability to shrink the field and use his speed. He’s not known for his man coverage.

Right. Cause you think I’m talking bad about him cause you are an emotional puss lol?

He’s my favorite recruit in the class. Box safety, even F-LB in arandas scheme. Can’t ever see him playing Buck full time tho.

But yea maybe he can grow 2” and gain 40lbs & be Lawrence Taylor
