What? They’re amazing if you cook them well.

Well prepared brussell sprouts are awesome.

Poorly prepared brussell sprouts are terrible.

I've never had just okay brussell sprouts. They're either awesome or terrible.

We eat brussels sprouts every week, usually roasted. Those frozen in the bags I smell people heating up in the microwave at work are an abomination

I love brussels sprouts roasted in the oven with a little olive oil, salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar.

I am unable to do good brussel sprouts at home despite multiple attempts.

But they are great done properly at a restaurant.

I grow them every fall and when I harvest the stalks I use the larger ones for roasting and the smaller ones I pickle in a bread & butter type brine.

I roast mine with olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, some sweet basil, oregano and when almost done, I'll add some freshly fried homemade bacon bits and parmesan cheese to finish them off.

I made a pretty good batch once. I believe I had quartered them that way I could get more of a sear in the pan

That being said there is a place in Corpus Christi called Post that makes the GOAT brussell sprouts

Like Hattricks said in the post above you, throw them in the oven with olive oil, salt, and pepper. 400 degrees at about 15-20min. Hard to mess that up.

Pan frying them in bacon grease is harder to do properly, but it’s obviously the game changer.

I prefer to avoid them if I can. I was always thrown off by fact they smell like farts when cooking on a stove.

This is the only way I can eat them.

Not gonna lie, they're still pretty dang delicious when uncooked. Usually after i toss em in the salt & pepper, I'll steal one or two before popping them in the oven
