Man, Heiskanen is so damn good. The Stars are a completely different team when he's on the ice. The Flames are the better team when he is off the ice, but when he is on, the Stars aren't just better, they are dramatically better. Just an amazing difference maker who might already be the best blueliner in the league.
My Caps are in deep doggy poo. With Eller out for the birth of Baby Tiger and Backstrom out with a concussion, they are down two of their top three centers. It showed. Also, Kempny is done. That hamstring tear cost him all ability to skate, and he was getting pinwheeled out there. I love the guy, he was a key cog on the Cup team, but... he's done.
The Caps have to bench Kempny and call up McMichael to win in the playoffs. They will likely do neither. They might be able to get by the Isles playing with one arm tied behind their back because, well, the Isles aren't that good either, but a deep run is out of the question without committing to the kids. Throw Fehervary out there. He can't be worse than Kempny.

It's an absolute joy to watch him play. It's nice being in Dallas and being able to see young great players in all four of the big sports.
Philadelphia may be done. Down 3-0 and had over a 1:30 of 5 on 3 and did nothing with it. That hurts
