Normal Saturday round what do you golf Baws do?

Where are we playing? At Oakbourne play it down. At squirrel run we play it up.

Play it down unless the group says otherwise before teeing off.

Up in fairway, down in rough if fairways have any issues at all.

Been playing it down since June. Probably start moving the ball in Nov.

Down, unless it's wet and muddy, then up in the fairway.

I'm playing it down unless I'm by myself, then the round always turns into a practice round

I play it down everywhere except the fairways... If I hit the fairway I deserve a good lie.

A very fair way to play a course when the conditions are not good is to allow a drop in the fairway cut if the lie is not good. No roaching the ball with your clubhead - just a drop on the spot the ball is at if the lie is terrible. This does not guarantee a perfect lie, but eliminates divots, bare areas or bad cuts on the fairways. Once we started playing this rule, it was amazing how little the ball was moved/dropped. In the rough we use it in the winter or as a "root rule".

I always play it down unless nobody is watching

Your game will improve if you walk and play it as it lies

Play it as it lies or bump it.

ahhh, thanks.
Thought it was something like that.. just wanted to make sure.
We clean mud balls but actually try to replicate the original lie. Muddy or bad areas, we'll move the ball but no closer to the hole and without providing too much of an advantage..
Like say you're in a GUR or muddy area with tree's in your shot. Can't move the ball too much to take the trees out of play.

In the member guest I had a friend ask if he could move off a root.
I said, “move it.”
It ain’t the US Open.
We won the hole and the match anyway.
