I wish our resident Dems would actually explain their support for Dem policies

The vast majority only know how to bash Trump...
I'd love to see them actually explain why raising taxes and redistributing wealth is good for the economy, why a border wall won't curtail a significant amount of illegal immigration, why we should increase environmental regulations even further while other countries DGAF and will surpass our economy, why we should let our allies walk over us in trade just so we don't hurt their feelings, why a strong and expansive military doesn't discourage other countries from taking advantage of the US, and how welfare/UBI doesn't discourage low income people from working more hours in fear of losing their benefits...
All we get is orange man bad... I feel ripped off by the libbies here

You don't understand leftists. Most don't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. They aren't looking as far as the economy. They are looking at themselves. They are "have nots" and since others "have" they see themselves in a position to gain.

I have a good friend that is very liberal. He's a teacher. We rarely talk politics, but he is one of those rare libs that actually makes a little sense.
The other day we were talking about fundraising that his students do to earn their semi annual class trip. He was saying that most teachers put all the funds the students raise into a general fund. But he puts his students funds into separate accounts for each student because he doesn't think it's fair that certain students do all the work and don't get rewarded.
I was speechless.

Explain to me the relationship between fiscal responsibility and the national debt? Im curious how with lower taxes and smaller budgets we have increased our national debt to over a trillion dollars? What national crisis have we experienced? Why dont you talk about ther numbers more often or we just going to ignore facts per usual?

So you cannot explain leftist policies?
You cannot raise enough fricking taxes to “pay” for all of the idiotic ideas of the left.
Never
No way

So he is a hypocrite and doesn't even know it?

In what year did the US have a smaller national budget.

Do you seriously not know the answer to this?
Federal tax revenues hit record highs last year even considering the tax cuts. So that leads us to the easy conclusion that spending is the reason the deficit, not debt as you say, is projected to hit a trillion.
What does the Federal government spend the most on? Safety net programs created by Dems over the decades that added a huge bloat to the budget and are underfunded because politicians didn't think things through before they made all these promises.
I hope you appreciate the education I just gave you. Now go forth and use it for good libbie.

Their general philosophy works as follows based on the premise that no one should ever be poor.
Level the playing field through government intervention, regulation and taxation so that the bottom rises up and the top comes down to a perceived “utopian” sweet spot.
Healthcare is a big one: they believe that no one deserves better access to healthcare so if they can Force the wealthy into a watered down gov system, it lessens the divide between the top and bottom since the bottom gets access to that same watered down system. This also leads to less power for the employer who no longer doles out health insurance through work. Note that Bernie and eliz warren are dead set against employers offering private health insurance. Take away power from the employer.
Otherwise, it’s all about economic spread of wealth. The problem becomes what to do when you run out of other peoples money and/or the natural resources that they’d need to generate money.
Russia relies on their oil money to fund their government. Well it get dicey when that price drops...
then consider the desire to move away from fossil fuels and there is no resource that the gov can use to fund itself! Lol. Total imbiciles.
Oh, and They don’t tell you that the government workers and politicians are exempt and end up in the upper economic tier.
Conservatives have come to the realization that poor people will always exist. There’s no point in trying to rig a system to level it out. Survival of the fittest comes into play. Get yourself prepared for life and strive to succeed. Free markets will sort it out.
The middle ground is where America has generally been but it’s shifting to a Europen socialistic model. Healthcare and Private wealth is in the crosshairs right now.

You talking about deficit or debt? The debt is over 20 trillion dollars. The deficit is not over a trillion. You seem confused.
And if we had a budget that met the tax receipts of the prior year, we wouldn’t have debt problems. Neither party wants that though.
Also, we have a federal reserve bank that is controlled by the government that continually bails the gov out without any accountability. So they keep running deficits. It’s really just a huge ponzi scheme.

You think this was his intention though? Looked to me like just took a wrong turn in Albuquerque. Unknowingly. Maybe just went off on a wrong tangent.

Pretty much. I feel like he is one of those that grew up Democrat because his parents are hardcore liberals and he just hasn't grown out of it.
It just cracked me up when he said all that about deserving to keep what they earned and it wasn't fair for it to go in the general fund.
