I highly doubt I’ll replay it, but I have no issues with paying full price for a 12-15 hour game. I mean that’s basically no different than something like The Last of Us.

If anything, I’m sort of over seemingly every AAA game being some 60 hour monstrosity with never ending side quests.

Also, Walmart has the physical at most stores for $49 instead of $59.

I really don't.

It's some of their decisions and the rationale given, either officially or from the fans, that I dislike.

Yeah it blinds some ppl from your actually point about Nintendo's practices.

Just completed the game. It took like 5.5hrs.

Honestly should be $50 bucks not $60.

Edt: but was enjoyable.

I can’t believe it’s 60. I mean Spyro remade all three of its games and it was 40. But I guess the nintendrones will buy it up no matter the price.

I've never played it before, so it's a new game for me. I'll buy it after i finish A Link to the Past on the SNES switch app

The price on this is certainly high.

But why blame Nintendo when many fans buy it?

If it's worth it to them, is the price too high? I mean, that goes for ANY product. Spyro was brought up, the big question is: Would people buy Spyro at $60? Do people buy Link at $60? What does that say?

Besides, the Spyro and Crash games kept the same engine for the most part in their game. They were reworking the aesthetics with a couple extra Easter eggs here and there.

The Spyro/Crash games have little to no substance whatsoever when it comes to story either so remaking the games was much easier than Link’s Awakening which was built completely from the ground up (asset wise). Why do you think THQNordic and Activision pump out these remakes of all these games so quick? It’s because they have the most brain dead plots and accessible gameplay possible and easy to rework the way they want.

This game is only 8 hours if you know exactly where to go/what to do. If you go in blind without a guide, I'd say anywhere from 12-20 hours.

This game can be really cryptic not so much with the dungeons themselves but where to go to get access to the dungeons.

I'm in this boat for sure. I have three kids. I don't have time for that crap.

As a kid I believe it took me a nearly a year to complete.

Nothing is straight forward.

Do we have more mini game items and sea shells?

I don't remember some of these. Also don't remember buying back my shovel. Hated letting go BowWow and the shovel.

I can see this argument and I'm in the same boat. But you can understand the other side where you can spend $60 on a game like Assassin's Creed Odyssey and even though I don't have the time to marathon it, I know it's going to give me a ton of game time over a few months and I'll feel it's money well spent (regardless that I got it on sale), but then how do I feel about spending that same amount of money on a game that will only last me a fraction of that, which I can still enjoy, but I'm more relectant to pay full price for a game like that.

I'm still hot that I paid $15 for Gone Home........so you understand where I'm coming from.

I get it. It's hard for me to justify $60 on pretty much any game really. In an either/or scenario, I would definitely opt for a game I know will take longer to complete. I'm just a little tired of every single game having to be an open world monstrosity.

That's fair. That game was not good. I was happy to get it for free just for a few achievements, but I wouldn't have spent a dime on it.

This is my plan as well. I'm not sure it will happen, but maybe the price will go down by then. With two kids under 3, I'm by the time I get done LTtP and LA, BOTW2 will have more info on release date and stuff.

I was a young child when the first NES was in full swing, so I pretty much grew up during the nintendo age. For whatever reason I never got into the Zelda games so I am playing all of them for the first time.

BotW was my first Zelda experience and now I've gone back and mostly finished the original Zelda using Nintendo Switch Online (never could beat the final dungeon though and after several hours of doing it I gave up lol). Now I'm a bit of the way through LttP. It's incredibly exciting to be able to play all of these for the first time. Just waiting for OoT to make it to switch at some point so I can see what the fuss is about lol

Ouch.

I probably would have quit the game if it wasn't for the game being a Zelda title. That weapon system killed me, until I just gave in and accepted the stupidity.

original Zelda

The first video game I ever played in kindergarten. My godmother's boyfriend was "growing up" and selling all his toys. Sold my parents all his NES games. Picked that game to play first because the boxart reminded me of the sword in the stone for whatever reason.

Back to this remake.

Boy it surely runs like shtt at times in the overworld. Not that big of a deal but fckk Nintendo, we need revised hardware.
