re: So what’s the deal with a WWL employee calling Seth Dunlap a bad name?

That he only allegedly took after he was accused of it in person by WWL.
His attorney then rushed out a press release saying "see he took a lie detector!" to fool morons like TBob and this guy.
A lie detector is so beyond worthless its not even worth discussing.

They then found video of him going into his office, closing the door, then the tweet comes out, and he emerges to show people the tweet.
Wow that's some solid evidence right there. Closed the door and come out when he saw that he had been insulted on Twitter. Lock him up Stalin

Did you miss the part where they allege the tweet matched an IP address with his phone?

Seth denies he tweeted this. Where is the proof?
The report is that they have forensic evidence gathered by an independent contractor. If that's true, it's pretty much the equivalent of DNA evidence.
quote:
Seth passed a lie detector in which he said he didn't do it and that he never had the twitter password
This is funny that you think it would override forensic evidence.
quote:
In fact, Entercom offered him a settlement which he turned down. Then, they started trying to tear him down and create a false narrative.
That's a fact?
quote:
WWL has NEVER asked any of the people with Twitter access if they did it. That was not an option. From day 1 this has been about Entercom finding a way to mitigate the lawsuit, even it they were at fault.
I guess it's possible.
Neither of us know the truth so let's just have a hypothetical about the possibilities.
If WWL is creating a false narrative in an attempt to mitigate a payout, then WWL/Entercom should be hammered. I assume you agree.
If Dunlap in fact did tweet it, he deserves significant jail time...like 20 years significant. Do you agree?

They did that to prove he had his phone with him so he couldn’t say someone else posted from his phone.
Because they already knew they could prove the tweet came from his phone through digital forensics.
Try and keep up, numbskull.

So Bunch gives you a point by point breakdown and you choose to harp on this one why?

This is a wild arse plot twist. I know people made the Jussie joke but I never actually gave it a thought.
I have a really hard time believing Entercom and WWL would file a police report(which is basically like going public) if they didn’t have 100%, stone cold proof he did it. Also the bits about his personal finance issues.
Can you imagine the lawsuit if what they’re alleging isn’t true? Seth could triple his initial demand. I just can’t see corporate lawyers letting that fly.
Crazy

Junk science at its finest.
I like how the operators call it a "polygraph" to make it sound less stupid than it actually is.

A home lie detector test, which is inadmissable in LITERALLY every court in America, is complete junk science and utterly worthless. They only have one purpose by attorneys: to sway public opinion. You can craft the questions to give misleading "truthful answers", give your client the questions ahead of time to coach them in how to answer, and interpret the results subjectively. In short it is designed to fool idiots but has no bearing on anything.
Have any of you ever had one done? There's a state board that regulates people who administer polygraphs. They have to get certified. Mine was done by the guy in charge of them for the Louisiana State Police, who would do private polygraphs as a side job. They'll prove to you very quickly that you can't lie to them.
I got one done in my divorce simply to prove to family that my ex was lying about me and accusing me of something that wasn't true, and I'll tell you that there was no way that I could've lied in that polygraph test and gotten away with it.
So, yeah, it depends on who is doing the polygraph. Beating a polygraph is incredibly hard. There's a reason that the military, the CIA, the FBI, and even the Louisiana State Police still use them in their investigations.
All that said, I still think that Seth did it.
Posted on 9/26/19 at 7:44 pm to VetteGuy
Citing a polygraph almost assures me that he is behind it. Trying to over compensate. Do they really think that has merit? Is it supposed to go away now? Lol
That is some poor lawyering smh

Have you read the questions to his lie detector test? It’s vague arse questions like.
Did you send the tweet? Of what?
Posted on 9/26/19 at 7:56 pm to Mrtommorrow1987
I got a hard time believing he'd come out of the chute asking for 1.8 mil unless it's a planned shakedown. That's probably 45-50 years of his salary.

I honesty feel bad for Seth if this is all true, and I think it is.
I mean, how bad off are you financially to pull a stunt like this? fricking file for bankruptcy. At least you can keep your fairly high profile job and at least a shred of dignity.

This smelled of a shakedown after he hired lawyer and took a leave of absence a day after the tweet.
Reasonable actions in this situation are to have a meeting with your employers and give them a chance to find out who sent the tweet and to see if they take appropriate action. I mean it’s not like he was outed as gay and shunned from the industry. He openly outed himself years ago and was still somewhat successful in sports casting.
We now know he did not take reasonable action bc he was in fact planning to extort his company with social justice bull shite.

I'll be honest, I didn't think he did initially.
It seemed so obvious, and I just figured he was more tech-savvy.
I felt like the guy had a shot at being a pretty good broadcaster and he seemed to have lot of experience.
WWL finally went out of their comfort zone and brought in someone else from outside the market.
He now has no shot at a major market ever again and he gonna be working sign-off on a directional AM in Odessa.

Dudes going to jail not an AM radio market. Extortion is a federal crime. He will never work in radio again.

Hey, small-market AM is worse than jail.
