Saints should have saved draft picks on Davenport and waited on the right QB

If LSU’s Joe Burrow continues on his torrid pace, he’s so accurate and looks so damn comfortable in the spread, could be tailor made for the Saints offense. I repeat could be, he’s not there yet, need to see more. But if so, all of those wasted draft picks sure would have come in handy next year.

4 firsts for davenport so far doesnt seem like it was worth it, but overall the saints have been so incredibly good at drafting it's kind of hard to be too critical.

besides, as much as i love burrow im not sure it would have been any smarter to wait on him. Curious what NFL scouts say about Burrow as the year goes on.

Those draft picks are past. Nothing in this years draft which Burrow will be in are from that deal. I’d love to get Burrow in the 4th round!

Didn't think I'd ever say this, but if Burrow keeps playing at this elite level and pace he probably won't be there in the fourth round.

They could've taken Lamar Jackson @ 27, which most people feared at the time. Payton was high on Lamar in the predraft process.

You and everyone else, because with the way he is playing and the value on the QB position, he's a 1st or 2nd round lock at the moment.

You do realize the Saints will have a first round pick in the 2020 draft, and all we are missing at the moment (I think) is the 2nd round pick which we traded for McCoy...which looks like a great trade at the moment.

Here we go with the LSU BS.

I love the Tigers as much as anybody, but

What's the point of bringing up Burrow if:

The Saints should have never made bad draft picks or wasted them on moving up. We could have won multiple Super Bowls by now I predict.

Yeah no fricking shite dude. I doubt they submitted the pic with the idea that it was gonna be bad.

You can’t rollover draft picks like cell phone minutes, dum dum.
