Brennan still doesn't operate with the confidence and conviction that you see in Joe.

He looks tentative and hesitant.

Brennan has no reason not to be solid next year.

He’ll get back every running back plus chase and Marshall.

He could also get back 4 of 5 on the OL

Expectations will be high, but he will have an experienced Emery and Davis-Price, all of his WRs returning sans maybe Jefferson, possibly just as talented FR in Burton, Jarrett and Boutte along with Palmer and Lee (this is jus a ridiculous stable of WR talent) and a more experienced settled OL.

Add in Brady in year 2 as an OC/PGC. It couldn't set up much better for Brennan. Between talent, experience and familiarity with a system, he should hit the ground running in 2020.

He reminds me of Brandon Harris (Brennan is better then Harris)with his passes. They are all darts and he just needs to learn how to put some touch when he needs to.

These next 4 weeks will hopefully help everyone relax a little, he needs to play some reps with 1st string offense, the more he plays, the better he will get

Harris didn’t have it mentally. It’s like the game was too fast for him.

Burrow has a great personality and I see how the players will go through a wall for Burrow. I hope the players feel the same for Brennan.

Joe is a dog. He's a guy you want at your 6 if you're outnumbered in a dark alley.

Miles seems like what my grandmother would have called a nice young man. Really nice smile.

A lot of these players come from rough upbringings an identify with the dog. I'm not sure they would ever be able to connect with Brennan on that level. If he can get the ball where it needs to be, they'll still be successful, but no, Joe and Myles won't have the same relationship with the team.

IMO being the Quarterback for a premier program like LSU is going to come with immense pressure regardless. It’s all about the individual, do they perceive pressure or get excited and thrive on the opportunity.

MB will know this offense like the back of his hand when he takes over. Plus he'll have much more time spent with tutelage under Joe Brady. It's a scary thought for opponents, but he may even surpass Burrow.

He is Brandon Harris. If he was a good QB he would have shown it by now. Hope we got somebody else

unfortunately, this is correct.

He had the stars aligned for him two springs ago with no competition at QB (McMillian and Narcisse) and he couldn't get it done.

Now sure, he can improve, but I agree with this poster - if he had "it" we'd probably have seen it by now.

Let's hope so!

Yes. He has the talent so I’m not concerned
you mean arm strength? Sure, he's got that. So do a ton of other guys who aren't good QBs.

Being a high-level QB is about way more than having a cannon. It's about accuracy, ability to make quick reads, go through progressions and make good decisions, pocket presence, poise, absolute command of the playbook, and confidence.

It takes way more than a rocket arm to be a good QB at this level. Hell, Brennan had a rocket arm two springs ago, but couldn't win the job when his competition was McMillian and Narcisse.

The mental aspect is where he needs to improve. I hope he's asking Joe alot of questions while watching film,

it's like PP7 told HB7, don't try to be me, be better than me! if Brennan isn't picking up on any of this he shouldn't be here

Not until his second season. Burrow is a 5th year senior who had a ton of juniors return (16 starters) to make a run at the playoffs. There is a lot of pressure to win this season. Next year we know we’re losing a lot of experience and will be very young. Burrow looks to be on pace for setting a new standard in terms of numbers for QBs at LSU and he will return a very experienced Oline so he’ll be judged on that but the real pressure won’t turn up until his second year.

I believe he will be ready. He looked good in the spring game. Playing in mop up duty should further sharpen his talents.
Wonder if Parish will get a few snaps this year, since the Red Shirt rule has made it possible without losing a year..
