I’m really glad Myles Brennan is on the sideline still learning and watching how Burrow is a leader on the team. I hope he can absorb everything he can from him and gets it together next year. He has the arm to do it but will there be added pressure for him to live up to Burrow’s standard?

Yes. He has the talent so I’m not concerned but it absolutely will add more pressure.

ETA now that I think about it maybe following Joe removes some pressure because maybe he won’t feel like he has to come in and be the savior.

Burrow has a great personality and I see how the players will go through a wall for Burrow. I hope the players feel the same for Brennan.

More importantly, do you think whoever is the qb after Brennan is going to have added pressure to live up to Brennan.

In conclusion, this thread is fricking stupid

Of course. Burrow is looking to establish a standard. A culture. An offensive identity with gutsy and talented QB play. If Brennan doesnt play above average, people will be disappointed.

He needs to do what burrow did. Work with receivers every day. Develop chemistry. Throw before they are out of their brake.

How about we just enjoy this season and worry about that in March.

Joe is amazing. The guy is fun to watch. Can Myles duplicate that? We'll see.

I hope he is challenged substantially by Peter Parish and at least 1 of the incoming freshmen. Competition will make him better for sure

I would think that the pressure is slowly mounting. Brennan had time to learn last year, knowing it wouldn't be his ship this year. He needs to perform when he goes into game, or we'll draw from the portal. After his performance in his 1st game this year, albeit not terrible, I'm sure he's starting to feel the heat.

Next years team may be a different dimension, all together. May be more run based after a senior quarterback graduates, and wide receivers go pro, with all the added publicity. I see us returning to a running offense, with the young crop of backs gaining experience, this year.

He has tremendous arm talent. I would think hes learning about reading D and will be able to get it to our studs in space. Buts its not guaranteed and its most certain there will be a drop-off.

Yes.

Burrow is a stud. We are letting him loose and the production shows.

Brennan will likely have a shorter leash which will make him look more limited, in comparison.

All I hope is he is a good and quick decision maker. He’s got the arm, he could be very effective as well considering we will at least have 2 starters back at WR

He's a quick decision maker, all right. My knock on him is that those quick decisions are not always good ones.

Nothing against him, but I haven't seen this in any game he's been in. He should be feeling the pressure, because he only gets one more chance to win the spot.
