re: I just want to say one thing. Herman is for real.

Chaisson had just a decent night because most of the plays he was one on one with a LT or RT. He was double teamed a couple of times, once when he almost hurt his right ankle. But, for a guy with his quickness I was disappointed he did not get more hurries or another sack on the QB

He really did call a great game. He kept finding ways for 6 to matched up on Jacoby Stevens. Stevens got burnt multiple times. On the TD on 4th down, it was a beautifully designed play. Almost a rub route without any contact. He found the weakness in the defense and took advantage of it. Much like Brady did to the Texas defense.

Yes but Texas Lt was holding him most of the game on a replay even Kirk call it out

Yes but there’s holding on every play technically.
WHile that saying is true in that you could study and fins someplace where the is technically a hold but there was some blatant holding, exactly what they are supposed to call every time.
Chaisson between the O lineman and the QB with the OL holding his shoulder pad or hooking his arm or even taking him to the ground. Saw that at least 4 times when it wasn't called on passes that were completed.
It was frustrating.

Texas should not have beaten LSU. Maybe Herman is a great game planner. Late in the first half he outsmarted himself with the timeout before the field goal attempt
We got a sack on a designed play by Aramda. Then Burrow took care of,business
I do not, care for the rush to contain strategy. Late in the game we got away from it and Ehlinger got pretty good yardage as our rushers were pushed past him and the middle opened up. Mond and Tua will do the same thing.
Our DBs got beat by good receivers and a very good QB who for the most part had plenty of time to throw. We have seen what happens to this kind of defense against a good QB many times. Mond lit us up. Tua lit us up. Mobile QBs spread offenses are going to do this
Against these teams you have to get a turnover or two.. a stop or two. Not bend and not break. You need to,gamble and disrupt. They will kill you if you do not.
We finally have an offense that can out score a very good team.

Ummm, Chaisson had two sacks. At that rate he could end up with 30 for the year. Not what I call shutting him down.

Agreed. It was a very bad performance all around by the defense. Coaches and players. It was very frustrating and surprising. It is concerning.
The first half was pretty good defensively. The second half they got exhausted and dehydrated in that heat leading to all the cramping. That 19 play drive on Texas' first possession of the second half basically took what was left out of them.

But the game plan never changed, and the result was zero stops in the second half... Zero. That's a problem.
Truth here as good as our DC is we are not quick to make defensive adjustments. Talent everywhere on D.

He had a game plan
I have to believe that Texas must be shocked that they played as well as they did on offense and still lost.

Herman is for real
Let’s hold off a little longer. They were really good last night. But he lost to West Virginia and Oklahoma State last year and both were bad teams. Let’s see how it plays out.

He called a great game. He made chaisson's aggressiveness an advantage for himself
I was afraid of that with all the shite talking he did

Herman is very good, but I think Orgeron is doing even better as a head coach. I'm not YET sure if either one is great. I'll need to see some playoff berths before I'm ready to crown either one.

It helps when the SEC refs ignored holding calls like they thought Alabama was playing. If our defense had talked as effectively as their OT’s they wouldn’t have gained 300 yards

Don't deny of that, but he sort of has a shell-shocked, just coming out of rehab vibe.
