because that is what the TP/Advocate is pushing to access their site. For years of living away from home I wake up, brew coffee and read the TP/Advocate on line, to keep up with Saints/Tigers, local news and politics.

That's all, I'm salty, but I ain't paying. Have a good day baws.

And how long have you been here?

It would be $3.50 or nothing.

The difference is that the Advocate has to pay its writers. TD lets the users write garbage for free. Production costs are lower. Quality is lower. You get what you pay for.

But this is fun, so, maybe $0.99 per month.

Incognito mode. Until they defeat it like the NYT.

In all seriousness, they have to pay the people writing the content somehow.

The Advocate is a dying breed. They’ve got to try and subsidize their terrible existence one way or another

I have TD Platinum for $199.99 a month. I can see who downvoted my posts then prearrange Sonic brawls through the app with the downvoters

Have you looked on other newspaper sites across the country?

Many of them do this. They will let you look at a handful of articles before you have to sign up and pay for their online service.

I’d pay $10.00 a year.

This is by far the most entertaining website I visit.

Considering it’s the state’s paper of record and it merged with the Pic, it’s gonna get interesting to see what happens now when public records required for notice purposes can only be viewed by subscribers.

It will also assist a lot of unprincipled officials who no longer need to worry about changing changing stories over the course of time, because the past will be hidden behind a paywall hidden to the masses.

The single fastest way to kill TD.com is to make people pay for it.
