quote:

“I respected Coach O’s decision to handle it like he did,” Canada says. “He didn’t feel that it was best for his program for me to be the playcaller. I learned a tremendous amount from Coach O.”

quote:

The Canadas bought a house in Baton Rouge. They had a pool installed in the backyard, along with fully-grown trees. “We thought we were going to be at LSU for a few years,” says Erin, a fellow Midwestern who Matt met in 2015. The two married in May of 2017 right here, on this 26-mile remote island about 45 minutes north of Wilmington. Attending the wedding was at least one member from each of the 25 college staffs on which Canada served, proving it by showing a reporter photos from the ceremony. “ For somebody hard to work with,” Canada smirks, “that’s a lot of people.”

Of course he'll say that under threat of lawsuit for breaking the NDA.

I think that literally means that he's coached 25 seasons of college ball because coaching staffs change every year. Not necessarily at 25 different programs lol

At least Canada scored on bama. Hell if etling was half decent his offense would’ve put up 24 points that night.

Kinda weird statement. Even the shittiest people I’ve ever worked with have always had their little buddy groups. Being hard to work with or bad for your team’s culture is not dependent at all on having a few people show up to your wedding

O screwed the pooch by hiring Canada and deserves criticism for that mistake. But I give him credit for ripping off the band-aid before the situation deteriorated worse.

Clapp points to LSU’s performance that year against Alabama. The Tigers ran for more yards in that single meeting with the Tide (151) than they did in 2015, 2016 and 2018 combined. “First time Alabama couldn’t figure out our offense,” Clapp says.

Exactly!!! For some reason this fact goes unnoticed by some fans. That's why I thought Canada should have been kept by LSU. Yu don't have to be creative to score and win against most teams LSU plays, but to beat the elite you do. And that is something Canada was good at. I just hope we have the same thing in Brady!!!

Maybe we'll do something this year to keep Nicky off balance. Or at least show him some things he hasn't seen watching 8 weeks of game film.
