Prosecuting political opponents and high level members of the IC is huge fricking deal. If you are going to take that shot, you better not miss. Furthermore, you have to be prepared to convince people who don't want to be convinced. And you have to be able to defend your case against a media that we all know is biased and dishonest.
Barr and company have to have everything air tight. Anything less and it could cost Trump a second term.

Any lawyers here care to pipe in on why they can't charge them with the lesser crimes as well as the FISA court crimes?
Also: why does Warner, McCain, and Richard Burr get away with being a part of the set up? What about the plants that Comey had in the WH with his rogue operation of entrapment?
