Jewel of the south is kind of a strong statement. All I remember is paying $27 for a tiny lobster roll.

Unfortunately for Charleston, the peninsula is just a fraction of the city. The rest of Charleston is just typical southern city sprawl, unless you're OT rich and can live on the marsh or ocean.
