She isn't a real judge but my understanding is that these are real people with paternity disputes on this show. They have probably signed a contract for some sort of mediation/arbitration and this "judge" is serving as that mediator/arbitrator.
The bottom line is that these are real people who should be fricking ashamed of themselves for what they are doing to the child by going on a show like this for the world to see. I'm sure they get some sort of payment or free "legal" services or some shite but you have to feel terrible for the kid in the middle.
And for that matter I'm sure this "judge" is making nice $$ doing this, but apparently she proclaims to be some relationship counselor that helps children through domestic situations. What she is really doing is exploiting these children for her own financial gain. She should be almost as ashamed as the "parents." Maybe more so since she is clearly an intelligent person unlike most of the barely mentally functioning adults who agree to come on her show.

Here is a link to the full episode for those who want more context. It's only 17 minutes long. Lots of he said she said about cheating on each other. The guy is paying child support and driving 160 miles both ways every time he gets to see the little girl while the sperm donor can't even be found. The lady even accused him of only wanting to be the father for tax purposes which makes zero sense b/c all that money would be sucked up with the child support and gas costs. Bottom line is he actually wants to be the father while the mother seems to care very little that she will grow up without a dad which makes this incredibly sad.

Yall can make fun of this dude all you want but I feel for him. I couldn't imagine my 3 year daughter(even if she really wasn't your feelings do not change at that point) getting ripped away from me like that.
I know she can't but I sure wish the judge could just give him custody of that little girl at least he really loves her.

Even worse maybe is not being part of that child’s life anymore. Can you imagine going to bed the father of a three year old little girl and waking up without that daughter? May be worse then the death of a child. frick that hateful count for cheering like that.
