The decline of moral values in the late 90s.

We also have one of the much lower overall murder rates, so it is not a gun issue.

If you are looking for a serious answer this statistic might bear out a different conclusion than most would expect... it's virtually a non-issue compared to the REAL MASS MURDER of children in this country. In other words, you are being manipulated by the media's sensationalism. They are choosing to use children, in a dispicable opportunistic manner to sucker the public into outrage... while ignoring what is really happening regarding the mass murder of children ...ONLY because it serves an AGENDA.

First, only 114 minor (or non-adults - school children) have been killed in "mass school shootings" the past 30 years. I have 4 children in school.. I do not take this lightly. Of course 114 is tragic...but in that same 30 year period over 30,000 defenseless children (3 years old or younger) were beat to death in their own homes... for largest part murdered by the parents these babies helplessly reach out to for love as their only hope of survival.

Point is, the media could spend every hour of day putting faces with names to these 30,000 plus murdered children and the public would be outraged and shamed... they could actually make a difference in saving children's lives....IF that was the agenda... but the lives of children don't enter it. Fu@k guns, school shootings and the average of under 4 per year children that actually die by them... 1,500 children will be beaten to death at home by the end of this year alone. Now the real crime:

If you look at the names, ages, "school" venues, and motives for those killed in these "288" supposed school shooting since 1990, you'll find the LARGE majority of deaths were adults... with motives ranging from disgruntled workers being fired... adults and employees MOSTLY at universities (not "schools" with children) jealous spouses, cafeteria workers bringing ghetto beefs to work and other various revenge based adult personal shootings.... So why more here at schools in the US??? Because we have more schools than anywhere else, more workers / employees at schools here than anywhere else...etc. Source for those actually killed??

LINK

So, could it be the media grossly sensationalizes an average of just over THREE school shooting deathss per year??? ...the deaths of 114 children since 1990 with slanted / padded stats and manufactured "serious issues"??? How many names and faces of the OVER 30,000 children murdered by domestic violence at home have you seen the media bring to our attention or show any comcern at all about... how many experts interviewed??
and how many "programs" to do something to help 30,000 children that are murdered en masse? I mean they care about children don't they?? Now it's time to laugh... really loud. AGENDA (politics).... they sell what they get paid to sell.. we are the suckers who are strung up like puppets and puppeted into thinking the media is telling us something truly important. This "288 shootings" outrage is a big, fake joke.

Saw an interesting video about countries with gun rights. Turns out a few European countries are cool with guns, especially one of the Nordic ones. I think Norway. They encourage it. Also a couple Latin American countries have high gun ownership.

Looks to me like a culture thing as much as anything.

School shooting have always happened. Our media just covers it more today.

At least according to the board logic around here.

20160928 - Townville Elementary (1 daed, 3 wounded)

This one was so sad. A little 6 year old was shot in the leg. He lost too much blood, but it took him a few days to eventually pass away.

It took the shooter just 12 seconds to do what he did before a volunteer firefighter ran up and tackled him.

Your list isn't complete. Virginia Tech isn't on it and it is still the worst school shooting in history.

Has anyone seen the mugshots of the "mass shooters" in the US? The majority are minorities. I bieve it is defined as three or more deaths.

Yeah, libs started using the Mass Shooting Tracker definition sometime after Sandy Hook (including Obama and Pelosi). Unfortunately for them, it had the unintended consequence of showing that the majority of mass shooters using that are actually black and not evil whitey. D'oh!

Attitudes like this are why we have more mass violence. People are too busy taking sides in moronic tribalism games failing to realize they are pawns for the power elite; instead of actually working together to figure out what can be done to help the situation.

That's not why we have shootings. That's why we don't have a bunch of dubious knee-jerk laws.

Big Pharma, prescribed anti-depressants and ADHD meds. Couple that with soft parenting and everyone gets a trophy mentality has softened society.

Americans as a whole today are not as mentally resilient as we were even 30 years ago. Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat and other forms of social media contribute to tons of social pressures that no generation has faced before.
