Poor Hank Gaithers was bending over trting to catch his breath in the timeouts.

Was that the Torris Bright deflection to end the game?

I know there were a lot of great games in the past, but last years Tennessee game has to be in the conversation also

No doubt.
The Georgetown game is in that neighborhood too

It’s hard to choose just one. People outside of LSU don’t realize the history our basketball program really has.

most exciting game I've ever seen. I feel fortunate to have been in the building when it happened.

The 1981 Regional Final in the Superdome against Wichita State was the most excited I've seen the fan base. That place was insane.
Of course, Rudy broke his finger in that game and that killed our chances in the Final Four against Isaiah Thomas and Indiana, but that regional final in the Dome was bedlam.

The final four run in 1986 was my favorite time as a LSU basketball fan but one single game it would have to be the Loyola Mary game.

Nope. LSU beat top 5 Arizona 86-60 that year and throttled them from the get-go. And the classic Jabari Smith dunk to end the first half had the PMAC electric!!!!! The Dunk!!!!!

That’s the first one that came to mind and I have followed LSU basketball game since the Maravich days.
Another was the 1978 game when we beat #1 Kentucky after all five of our starters fouled out. Big moment in the Dale Brown turnaround of the program.

1977-78 LSU beating #1 Kentucky in overtime with the starting five having fouled out.
