world-renowned museums
Lol
There isn’t a single museum the average American could name along the lines of a smithsonian let alone a truly world renowned place like the louvre etc. try leaving Texas for once in your life.

As far as museums, the World War 2 museum is one of the best museums in the country

Yo, I'm from NOLA and live in Houston, upvoted all your posts because they're all on point. But in Houston, I still speak Yat (haven't puked in the street yet).

Okay, now you're trolling.

The Woodlands has more culture than NOLA. Definitely more woods and land.

I'd rather go to San Antonio Fiesta than Battle of the Bands.
Also has more Culture than NOLA.

How many museums do you think the average American can name?
Look -- you have a point. Houston's museums are not "world renowned." But they are world class. Take a look at MFA Houston's collections and tell me otherwise. And btw -- I say this as someone who has lived in Europe and has visited plenty of world class museums, including any you could probably name off the top of your head.

Gilley's was in Pasadena, not Houston.
Neither is the Johnson Space Center in Houston, but you don't here Jim Lovell say,..."Clear Lake, we have a problem".

Clear Lake/NASA was unincorporated Harris County until Houston annexed the area in 1977.
So yes, NASA is within the Houston city limits.

I apologize, I went too far with that one.
And I'm not trolling about Fort Worth. Does New Orleans have anything like the Kimbell Art Museum?

I’d say a place like San Antonio and El Paso have more ‘culture’ than Houston. Maybe even Fort Worth.

I just wish the growth of America, and more specifically the South, was spread out. There is not much growth in any Southeast city except maybe Atlanta and Nashville. Memphis, New Orleans, BR, Shreveport, Mobile, Birmingham, Jackson, Little Rock are all in trouble in terms of growth in the city limits. I’m not sure about Montgomery. It’s sad. Those cities used to offer something to allow for upticks in the economy.
Now, it’s all in Texas. shite, the oil boom has places in West Texas growing rapidly. Keep going west and you see Arizona growing.

Charlotte and NC Research Triangle
Northern Virginia
Charleston
Huntsville
Little Rock
All have good economic growth. Birmingham has also bounced back from rock bottom. Not saying it is doing well, but it isn't where it was circa 2009.

Of those, I’d only include LR and Huntsville in the Southeast.
I didn’t know The Rock was coming back.

So you're arbitrarily shrinking the region to fit with your point. Gotcha. North Carolina is definitely in the Southeast. Northern Virginia is debatable, I guess, but I still consider DC to be the northernmost Southern city.
And, no offense, but all you have to do is google "cities with most economic growth" and read a couple of articles to know that your point about the lack of economic growth in the South was not entirely correct.

Houston, IMO, has the best food in the USA. One reason being its close proximity to Cajun country and awesome Tex-Mex food. Not to mention all the other worldly cuisines available.
This is just absurd.
Best food. Lol
